If this is true, Howard Eskin of 610 WIP has some 'splaining to do. He's been insisting for weeks that the Eagles would never sign Vick. Interesting move for the Eagles, I hope Donovan's feelings arent hurt.

My guess is that the Eagles will try and convert him to a new position. I don't see Vick running the west coast offense.

Like Eagle fans need another reason to throw batteries at their team.

This totally blind sided me. Where are they going to put him? The Eagles are stacked offensively, one of the deepest receiving cores, Westbrook and McCoy, McNabb and Kolb... third string QB/RB... 5th Receiver? Put him on defense?


... Bandl, Col...You're still going to get trampled on by the Eagles and the rest of the NFC east. Though the Skins may be getting better, they are still the 4th best team in the NFC. I'd worry about your own lack of QB/Offense.

... people have gotten away with a lot worse than Vick and are playing in the NFL. I'm saying this honestly, if he had been signed by any other team I would be saying good for him. He sat in a cell for 2 years while and paid his penance while others have skated away clean. I don't like what he did and I think the guy is a supreme douchebag for what he did, but he's made his amends. Christ, him and the Humane Society are working together. Only the Peta Nazis and Tree/Wolf Huggers have a problem with him playing.

Why would you say "People murderers"? Vick didn't murder any people.

I'm not saying that Vick is a good guy, but lets not make stuff up just because we don't like him. He tortured and killed dogs. He served prison time for that. He shouldn't have to answer for the crimes of others.

He could help them, assuming he's in shape. I always figured he'd be a better receiver/slot back/special teams player than a QB. Even so, he couldn't be a worse QB than Kolb.

He's served his time, so let's see if he can play. Besides, it was only a bunch of goddamn dogs. The outrage expressed (damn near exclusively) by middle to upper class white folk over his actions made me realize something: Our society has too much free time and money, and some seriously misplaced priorities.

Now excuse me, I've got some 18 year old girls from a f--ked up homelife to interview for my next porn shoot.

Goodness man, unless I'm missing your sarcasm, you went to Defcon 1 after the Vick signing. I was trying to say that though Vick did something horrible, there are people out there playing in the NFL who have done worse IMO, who no one has given any grief or a second thought about. If you re-read my post I pretty much said the same thing as you, it's a horrible thing the guy did, but he paid the price and did his time. I'd feel the same if he was signed by any other team too, lets see what he can do.

I have no illusions about how good the Redskins are going to be this year. They will most likely finish 4th in the NFC East. And I think that Vick has done has pennance and deserves a second chance, just not with my Redskins! I hate a bad gut feeling that Dannyboy was going after him, but that's just not the kind of potential crap-ass soap opera that we need right now (and you know this will be scrutinized to the utter max every single week because of McNabb). I could not be happier that he did not up a Redskin and is an Eagle! I'm happy for you!
