2009 Seattle Seahawks Thread

Post by Screamin_Eagle174 »

Last year was an injury-riddled fluke. Hasselbeck is back, healthier than ever, and looked good in last night's preseason opener against the Chargers. With one of the best receiving and linebacking corps in the NFL, the key to this season is going to depend on the O-line, and whether or not we can stay healthy and gel, instead of rotating guys every game as another man gets injured.

Housh should definitely open up our struggling run game... in addition to the new "cut and go" approach the line and backs are taking this year.

I'm going to predict a 9-7 or 10-6 season, losing in the second round of the playoffs. :twocents: :thumb:

Go Hawks!

NFC West is going to be a good battle.

Arizona has most everyone back from the Super Bowl team, Seattle is improved, as is SF.

St. Louis looks hopeless.

Indeed, should be a lot more interesting this year. I think SF will do better under a complete year of Singletary's guidance, but Smith and Hill are god awful. Crabtree holding out isn't going to help either. It's going to be between the Hawks and the Cards.

3-0 so far in preseason. The first team offense has looked good: some stats on Hasselbeck:
In the past two games, when he has played just over four quarters, Hasselbeck is 35 of 48 – to nine different receivers – for 435 yards, with four touchdowns and an interception, for a 118.6 passer rating.

Bring on the regular season.

1-0, posting the only shutout of the 2009 season so far. This next game will be big, going up against an improved 49ers team. Hawks steal it, 24-17
