On a plane to St Paul...................as a Packer fan.................Argh!

WCCO Link

A high-level source with the Minnesota Vikings tells WCCO-TV's Mark Rosen that quarterback Brett Favre is expected to sign with the team Tuesday.

Favre is on currently on his way to Minneapolis and is expected to sign with the team this afternoon, the source said.

Ughhhhhhh..... I feel like Farve is Happy Gilmore in that scene where Bob Barker beats the crap out of him. He just won't stay down.

... on a positive note, this will take the media attention away from Vick.

But Vick and Favre news combined won't put Michael Jackson out of the news. :shake:

That's it. I'm sick of this fvckstick.

I'm offering $50 and a dashmat for a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am to the first person who will shatter the man's femur.

Charcoal gray, but it's kind of rumpled.

The color is kind of a deal breaker.

Favre isn't the dummy here...the Vikings are. If he can find a team willing to pay him, why shouldn't he play another season? Just more money in the retirement fund for him.
But on the other hand...this will surely help the Vikings in terms of ticket sales, TV, merchandising, etc. so maybe they aren't so dumb after all. Who are their other options at QB? Tarvaris Jackson, Sage Rosenfels..(is Frerotte still there?). Not like they have any real barn-burners at the QB position...

You should dig him out, he's probably pretty hungry.

Given who the Vikes already have at the QB spot, I can't really criticize this move.

However, I would give more credence to them if they'd signed Tommy Kramer instead.

He's ruined his legacy. Yes, he has an incredible knowledge of the game with a shit ton of experience and an arm to boot, but he's old as balls. He can't hack it any more. The second half of the Jets season last year is proof. Goddamn, flip flopping drama queen. I hope he gets injured in the first couple games. Torn ACL or something.

A fella and an employer make an agreement that both feel will be good for them. How dare they? They should know that it is annoying to some NFL fans that it has absolutely no affect on. I believe I will wish physical injury on the man for not having the good sense to turn down a million a month for the next year. My minor annoyance at things that have no bearing on the course of my life should be more important to this man that I do not know.

Michael Vick is guilty of beating dogs and whatnot.

Brett Favre is guilty of beating a dead horse. heh.

Though others are right: if someone offers a guy that big a paycheck for a job (that I'm guessing he still enjoys), why turn them down?

My bad, I forgot about him and his proven ability to lead the Vikings at QB, what with his zero snaps as the #3 QB in 2008
