Yet another "retirement" goes away....

On the heels of Brett Favre doing well with the Vikings and Kimmy Clijsters winning the US Open after barely a month back from retirement, Clijsters' Belgian rival Justine Henin has just announced HER return to the tour after a long absence. As recently as May, Henin had declared that regular tour play doesn't allow for adequate injury recovery. Henin is 27, which used to be absolutely ancient on the tennis tour. After what Kimmy did, not so much, eh?

Waiting for Martina Hingis to put down her razor and mirror and get back in the game.

Speaking of Martinas, I bet Martina Navratilova could still win some matches.

She'd be subject to a gender check these days.

Saw Martina play in the 2004 US Open, mixed doubles against Maria Sharapova and partner. She probably still could play.

Actually, Martina said herself, I think it was during Wimbledon 08, that she got destroyed by a couple of no-name Russian chicks she played against in a charity tourney somewhere in Russia. Both of the girls were ranked in the top 30 at the time, but were still relatively no-names. At her age she wouldn't stand a chance covering the whole court by herself against someone younger, faster and stronger than her.

She just isn't hot, period. Decent looking? Maybe. But nothing to drool over.
