Yeah, I'd much rather see the Twins face the Yankees in the 1st round since NY is 7-0 against them this year.

Third inning, Chicago beating Detroit 2-0.

Sox win!!!

Twins and Tigers head in to tomorrow all even in the AL Central!

the scenarios

Twins win/Tigers lose: Twins improbably in the playoffs
Tigers win/Twins lose: Tigers hold on and make the playoffs
both teams win or both lose: one game playoff at the Metrodome on Tuesday.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it helps the Yankees. Whoever wins between the Twins and Tigers may be spent for the Yanks. Also, they may not be able to set their playoff rotations they way they want.

I hope the winner is decided tomorrow and they don't need a playoff.

They might have if Verlander could start game 1. I think Verlander has to pitch tomorrow, so now Detroit's rotation is f--k'd.

Even if he goes today, he would still be inline to start twice in a 5 game series (games 2 & 5) which still gives the Tigers a better chance then the Twins.

I wasn't aware of that. I retract my complaint.

I believe the Rockies went to the world series a couple of years ago out of the wild card after they had a one game "tie-breaker" series... only to be swept by the Sawk, but just sayin' it's possible.

Three and a half hours to gametime. Can a rookie starting pitcher come through in the craziness that is the "Homer Dome"? If he does, and the TIgers win, will Gil Dobie get out alive?

I have a damn 3 hour class starting at 3. We have a test, it wouldn't be so bad if the professor didn't lecture the first 2 hours of class then give us the test.

I'm hoping that I can sit on my phone and watch the tracker during the first 2 hours of class then get home to watch the end of the game

Our prof is sick so he had someone else proctor the test for him so I got home in time to see the opening pitch, and since then I've had the game on mute and it matched up with the Twins Radio Network because if I'm going to listen to biased announcers I at least want it coming from a biased source.
