Did you guys see the end of the near-tie between Cincy and Cleveland? On the penultimate play of overtime (a 3rd down), Cincy ran left and then called time-out. Why? A scrum would have run out the clock. They risked that a kicker who had already had an FG and PAT blocked would hook it. As it was, he almost pushed it wide right. Standard strategy would have been to kick on 3rd down (as Bill Cowher suggested) so a block could have been recovered or to have the QB take a knee in the MIDDLE of the field to eliminate kicking angles.

Cincy got freaking LUCKY.

Kicking on 3rd down is a Head Coach decision. The run may have been stupid, but that is also typically a HC decision

They're 3-1. I'm guessin' the Cincinnati folks are about ready to erect a statue of this "idiot".
