I like your picks, and I hope you right with most of them. You have to hope that voters waited until after the Twins-Tigers game before they filled out their ballots. Twins players may get screwed if irresponsible voters filled out their ballots early under the assumption that the Tigers would win the AL Central.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:AL MVP Joe Mauer, MIN

AL MVP -- Tough one. Do you go with Mauer, or with the base table-setter in the game, Derek Jeter, who was the catalyst of the Yankee offensive that won 103 games. I go with DEREK JETER. Besides, you have to honor Jeter for breaking one of the most hallowed records in baseball this year -- the Yankees' all-time team hit record.
The remaining choices are easier:
NL MVP - DEREK JETER
AL CY YOUNG CC SABATHIA
NL CY YOUNG DEREK JETER
AL ROY BRETT GARDNER
NL ROY DEREK JETER
AL MOY DEREK JETER
NL MOY DEREK JETER
AL CBPY DEREK JETER
NL CBPY MANNY RAMIREZ

Twins don't have Mauer - they win 73 games at most

Actually I agree with Mauer. Just giving what people expect is the usual Yankee fan line.BlueHen86 wrote:Since the Twins won th AL Central, I'm going with Mauer (although my vote doesn't countJoltinJoe wrote:AL MVP -- Tough one. As I was writing this, I was thinking about something that happened at the game last night. At one point, Jeter comes up and the crowd starts a pretty loud "MVP" chant. The fan behind me can stand it, and starts saying, "Give it up, Mauer's the MVP. Stop it." He's loud enough that pretty much everyone in our section can hear him.
Two batters later Teixeira comes up and another "MVP" chant starts. This guy is now going crazy. "Hey, which one is it, you can't have two MVPs."
Arod follows, and again the cry of "MVP" is heard. The guy can't take it anymore. "You guys are out of your F****ing mind. Another MVP??!!"
A few batters later, Robinon Cano gets hit with a pitch and Gene Monahan, the Yankee trainer, jogs on the field. This guy points at Monahan and starts chanting, "MVP! MVP!"
The whole section burst out laughing.
