Boise State will only drop each week unless Oregon wins out, and TCU is too far behind to leapfrog anyone else I think. Even if they win out.

almost 1/10th of a point back is tough.

Jesus it's nice not to see Ohio State in that list.

And some NEW BLOOD!!! Cincinnati, Iowa, TCU, Miami, Oregon, GT! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Of course, it's still going to end up Florida/Alabama for the NC. :ohno:

If they both win out, they'll play each other in the SEC championship game, and the loser will be out of the title game, I believe.

I'll take that bet. They're both so highly ranked, I'm gonna bet that even if your scenario DOES happen, the loser won't drop to #3, ESPECIALLY if Texas doesn't win the Big-12 title game. :ohno:

No, it's in the constitution and you shouldn't take that bet; if a team doesn't win their conference they can't play in the title game.

It'll be Florida/Texas for the NC.

In a sense, Boise State is actually third right now in the rankings to play in the NC title game because two teams from the same conference can't play. Wouldn't it be great if Texas didn't win the Big 12 conference and thus wasn't eligible for the NC game? Ah, the shit that would hit the fan.

I'm rootin' for it. I want Boise in the NC for all the controversy and bitching it will create, so then, and maybe then, they'll move to a playoff system.

I NEVER want them to move to a playoff system. It's what makes FCS different.

Same here...but it just baffles me that those clowns haven't figured out that anything other than a playoff system just doesn't work. Even a 8-team playoff (i.e., same number of teams as currently in the BCS bowls PLUS a true NC game) would be better....but....meh. :coffee: :kisswink:

After Saturday's game I don't see why Florida is ranked # 1 other than rep from last year. They beat ARKANSAS? at the end of the game. It was not a game a #1 team should have been struggling in, IMHO, and TX game wasn't exactly a showcase either. UT is getting by, by the skin of their teeth...not as stong as in previous years

i've seen a TON of FBS football this year my notes:

1. Florida is getting a bump from last year and the public fellating of Tebow
2. Bama is probably the best team in the country right now
3. if USC wins out - they'll play for the BCS title
4. Boise deserves to be there but this system is such a shit-show that nothing they can do will ever put them in the nc game by design.
5. Texas is dangerous - their d-backs are some of the best I've ever seen

Virginia Tech loses to the now number 11 team and drops 11 spots.
USC loses to an unranked (terrible team) and is still in the top 10...bs

Based on last week's events, as far as I'm concerned, the #1 team in all D-I is Montana. I'm so sick of Florida and U$C it's not even funny.

Boy, boy, boy. Look at the love for FBS ball. Maybe there should be an FBS forum. :coffee:
