No. 58 ODU Wins Fourth Straight After 6-1 Victory Over Montana

NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 58 Old Dominion women’s tennis team (11-5) rolled to its fourth straight win after defeating Montana (3-9) by a 6-1 score on Friday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Center.

The Lady Tennis Monarchs wasted no time jumping to an advantage when doubles duo Nikol Hristova and Nataliya Vlasova easily handled their opponents for a 6-0 win on Court 1. Followed by a convincing victory from Natalya Malenko and Ivana Vukovic on Court 2, by a 6-3 score to put ODU up 1-0.

It was Nikol Hristova and Nataliya Vlasova that extended ODU’s lead to 3-0 when they were the first two singles matches to finish. Vlasova performed brilliantly for the Lady Tennis Monarchs at the No. 1 position winning her match in two sets, 6-0, 6-3. Ingrid Vojcinakova, Ivana Vukovic and Natalya Malenko also notched singles victories for Old Dominion.
