Honestly, and I'm honestly not trying to make this a generational thing, but I think the older folks are romanticizing a bygone era where everyone is solely dependent on themselves.
I really hope as Boomers and older folks die, Gen X/Millenials will create an even more open world...one that mirrors the way we've grown up interconnected to each other. More open borders, more immigration, more information sharing, and just more connected to each other in general. We've created a world where we're becoming reliant on each other...and there's nothing particularly bad about it. While there's drawbacks, the benefits have been enormous. Those that can't accept a changing world (whether socially or economically) are the ones which get left behind...and then bitch about how they've been left behind.
A good chunk of your interconnected generation wants to give California back to Mexico. But, yeah, you don't listen to the Spics, do you? You are as racist as Trump.
And your generation of Muslins is doing an absolutely fantastic job of interconnecting with each other in Syria, Libya, Yemen, and a dozen other wonderful vacation spots on the planet.
Of course, your girl Hillary is supplying the weapons to those friendly, information sharing encounters. She, and the governments and bankers she supports, are crashing the financial futures, and ending the very lives, of many of today's generation.
But...but...but...Trump says mean things, and words mean more than actions.
Seriously, you are a small minded, very sheltered person who supports a conniving, elitist murderer, while pretending to speak for the oppressed masses.
You are a fraud.
