Honestly, who ever gave a **** about that game? You guys are a basketball school anyway. You guys don't care about football and we don't care about Villanova. Tough to make that into a "rivalry".

Exactly, it had to be something extreme for them to act now. Unless they feel there's a coach out there that they want to get the jump on.
Sent using Tapatalk because 89Hen hates this.
He was fired now because any fleeting chance at the playoffs ended yesterday.
Well, that and the fact that a team that had the longest running span of consecutive years averaging over 20k attendance up until five years ago now gets about 10k actual at games. Also season ticket base dropped from 11.5k to 5k in the same timeframe.
Well, not really. A 4th CAA team at 7-4 would be a near lock for a 24 team/14 at large field (see UNH last season). A 5th CAA team maybe not (see TU last season). Of course UD wasn't going to win 5 straight to reach 7-4/5-3 with Brock, or any interim..

Bro, save your bullshit. It's over.
I should have said the "Well not really" was in reference to a CAA 7-4 team having no chance at playoffs (you didn't say that but someone did on an other thread). My bad. When I said UD wasn't going to win 5 straight to have a chance at making the playoffs I was in agreement with you- any fleeting chance at the playoffs for UD ended yesterday.

Isn't it ironic/poetic/delicious? that the day UD fires Brock, the previous head coach sent a team to NDSU which knocked off the Bizon and is slated to be #1?
I recommend Mark Farley for the job. Look at how David Johnson is doing in the NFL. Farley saw that talent and used it to its fullest extent. You could have that at Delaware!

Respectfully, fuck your dog!
We're just trying to help UD share in our success and that's the response. EC(b) elitism.

Indeed, the only rings Farley has on his fingers are wedding or class rings. I mean, come on, the man actually lost a home playoff game, in the dome, to Lehigh. Friggin' Lehigh. That's disqualification material if I ever saw one. Lehigh. This is "Come on, Man" segment material worthy. Lehigh.

Meh. Back in the day I hated Temple and Lehigh a lot more than I ever cared about villanova. Nobody really replaced them for me.
DelState's not making it move for you, huh?
If you recall, I was one of the more vocal against playing DelSt and I feel I've been proven to be right on that one. Attendance for West Chester was better than what it's been for DelSt games and WCUPA never dreamed of trying to figure out a way for a return game.
You know, as of now Les Miles has the best winning percentage of any coach that has coached for more than 2 years at LSU. Below is a chart showing where he ranks. Also, as of now, LSU has more players in the NFL than any other school at 46. Alabama has 40 and Ohio State has 43. And Nick Saban left LSU in 2004. I'm not going to try to look all the players up but I think it's reasonable to say few if any of those 46 LSU players in the NFL were recruited by the previous LSU coach. And I heard last spring that they may have 7 players drafted in the FIRST ROUND this next draft. I doubt that happens but they're going to have a massive draft class in any case.
Another thing: LSU fans got all upset over LSU losing what was essentially a road game a long way from home to Wisconsin. Wisconsin ain't bad at all.
I think LSU may end up regretting getting rid of Miles. Yeah you can say that he should've won more with all that talent he recruited but the flip side is he recruited all that talent. No guarantee the next guy will be as good at that.
