Yesterday streamers just happened to be added to the list of banned items inside Toyota Stadium for the NC game. Houston was just asked what his thoughts were on the streamer ban during his press conference today. He responded with "I think the NCAA just ensured that there will be more streamers than ever in Frisco, TX this year."

3 weeks is better than 1:
-Old system of 16 teams was 15 games in 16 weeks. Possibility of going on the road 4 straight weeks like JMU did in winning the NC in 04'. That is a GRIND. These are still student athletes. They aren't the pros like the P5.
-Current system (if the 2 that make the NC game are seeds), its 14 games in 16 weeks, 15 games in 19 weeks.

JMU entered this past weekend with double digit guys out. I'm pretty sure NDSU if they didn't have double digit guys out before SHSU, they did by the end of the game, losing 3 players. At least both teams have the opportunity to get some of their injured guys back.

Also better for the fans going, as with 3 weeks its easier to plan. Easier to get time off from work & get reasonable airfare on 3 weeks notice instead of 1.

My only grip is the noon on Sat (edit 11 AM local). Would be much better for Fri night 1/5, or Sat night 1/6, but because of the NFL & other bowls its stuck on noon ECB/11 AM local..

That's crazy, too much betting on past hype. If the Bison win, it would be by a FG or less.

Someone posted this on the JMU board:
5dimes lines are not Vegas line, it’s offshore. The Vegas line is often very different from 5dimes when it comes out. If you remember the ECU v JMU line on 5dimes was around ECU-5, but when Vegas posted their line the week of the game JMU was -7.
The Vegas line may very well be in line with 5dimes, but I think it will close at pk.
We'll see..

Looking at the NDSU game notes from vs SHSU, on their roster, I see A LOT of players from FL, more than I recall seeing in the past. Its like their roster is almost entirely the Dakotas & midwest, & then a big outlier in FL.
https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/ ... _State.pdf
-Count at least 11 players from FL.
-7 from FL on their 2 deep.
-4 from FL listed as starters (but one of them is one of the injured corners).

Among the 11 FL players I counted:
-9 RB/WR/DB
-1 OLB
-1 QB
No lineman. Its obvious they recruit FL for speed, which they obviously don't have enough of in the Dakotas...

On the one hand you have point there. I don't follow basketball (other than to know JMU sucks) but I believe the season is 2-3 weeks, around 5 games longer than it was back in the 90s..$$$$ has been placed in front of the well being & interest of the student athletes.. course with big time college basketball the notion of "student athletes" is a joke..

On the other hand, basketball is a contact sport. Football is a collision sport. 15 games in 16 weeks is a little too much IMHOP. These guys aren't the pros..

With the P5 title game, it will be 15 games (or 14 if Bama) in I think about 20 weeks..

You do have more protection in Football, and football, you only have around 10-15 minutes of game action in a game. Basketball, there is action the entire game. The clock stops in basketball, when the action stops.
