Bliznyuk passed Jois to become Eastern’s all time leading scorer and is 170 away from 2000.

Griz/SUU game was just really tough to watch, with the refereeing.

Lady Griz seem to be in VERY good hands for years to come. :notworthy: :notworthy:

Yep. The bigger question is what to do with all the scholarships. Lonergan is a walk-on right now, but all scholarships have already been filled for next year (this could be an even bigger issue if Valley decides to do a 6th. year).

I like the look of those standings. 2 game lead with 9 to play for the men.

Honestly curious, does anyone know how 9-0 in conference play falls in Big Sky history?

The best I remember is ISU 13-1 in 1977, but I think Weber ran it one year.

Griz got to 14-1 one year I believe....not sure how they finished...

Edit: got to 14-0, finished 19-1, lost to Syracuse that year...badly...in the first round.

And they don't have to go to Ogden. :thumb:

Here's hoping it ends up more like 2006 than 2013.

Hell, 2012 would be a vast improvement over 2013. :?

DeCuire's teams tend to play well against big-time teams. They don't win too often (ever?), but they usually play well…

Like a three year stretch where UW (Washington), UW (Wisconsin) and Syracuse ALL kicked our asses in the first round....embarrassing, really.

Huh? The Griz haven't played UDub in the NCAAs since 2005.

UM lost to New Mexico in 2010, but that game was close. They didn't make the NCAAs in 2011 thanks to NoCo's cheating.

At least when ISU had their big season, they got 2 Ws in the tourney. Granted it was a long time ago, but they were greatest Sky team ever.

The 1981-82 Idaho squad would have an argument. They went to the Sweet 16 and finished #8 in the AP poll.

Courtney Smith Leaves UNC WBB

Post by Mvemjsunpx »

Courtney Smith was NoCo's starting center and averaging 13.3 ppg. She also leads the Big Sky in shooting % among those who qualify. She didn't play either game last week, but had 16 points and 5 assists in the Bears' loss to NoDak on 1/20.

http://uncbears.com/news/2018/1/27/wome ... ogram.aspx

This is a stunning loss for the team that was still probably the favorite to win the Big Sky prior to this (they have by far the best RPI in the league). The title race looks totally up for grabs now.
