That was unbelievable.

There were two lead-off home runs and two walk-off home runs yesterday.

I was watching that. I was screaming at the announcers because they were saying that the replays they had did not prove enough to overturn the call on the field. But the replay officials have more views than one broadcast team, and the fact they didn't acknowledge that makes them sound unprepared.

IMO, Harold Reynolds and Dan Plesac (MLB Network) are the best (combo of knowledge and entertainment) studio guys in all of sports. They are outstanding. Worth the watch if you catch them in the studio doing live look-ins of games.

I would add Eric Byrnes to that list, him wiping out Reynolds at 3rd was epic.

I think he is too goofy and tries too hard to be entertaining. I'm a fan of Sean Casey, but he too is on the goofy side.

Detroit traded literally every player with a pulse on their roster at the deadline last year with the exception of Miggy. I don’t think there’s an “looking” to be rebuilding....

Gabe Kapler will be serenaded in classic Philly fashion at the Phillies’ home opener. He coughed up that first game against Atlanta all by himself, and the team got reamed last night. No pitching (beyond Nola). Looks like the Vince Velasquez experiment may be ending.

He'll be booed every time he comes out for a pitching change. So basically he gets booed 4-5 times every night, minimum. He might start sending out someone else to do the pitching change.

As long as the Mets end with a record worse than the Braves, I'll be happy. That last game against the Phillies was just embarrassing.

V-Mart and Castellanos still have a pulse, but a few of regulars are gone from last year.

Great article on the Twins/Orioles nonsense over the weekend and the sheer stupidity of the "unwritten rules" of baseball. Golf is another sport that gets in its own way with these sometimes just ridiculous "rules" and the weird adherence to them. I love baseball and I'm a lifelong fan, but the petulance of some of these supposed grown-ups doesn't always paint a good picture of baseball players.

Wow, that is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. If they're so pissed about a guy bunting with the game virtually over (in their estimation), why the FUCK did the Twins put on a shift?!?!?!?!?! :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :tothehand: :tothehand:

I like the "unwritten rules".
But in this instance, the Twins are at fault for shifting their defense while up 7-0 in the ninth inning.

Disclaimer: I hate the shift and statistics prove that it does not provide any benefit. But that is not the point. Statistically, Cisco recorded a hit to the opposite side of the field and that could help prevent shifting on him in the future.

It wasn't a party foul if there wasn't a no-hitter going.

JFC, Minneapolis has to be the biggest vagina of a city in all of sports.

Nah, laying down a bunt with a no-no, especially if it's not a 0-0 tie, is some fucked up shit.

You know it too.
