Tate is going to take some numbers away from Alshon. Carson will be inclined to get Tate a touchdown in his first game.

Therefore, Hilton.

I will be fine this week and next. Then the final push for the championship will occur.

Two teams I though would play hard but just folded were
1) The Bengals
2) The Patriots

both looked completely uninterested in playing with the effort required to win

The Cardinals played their butts off in a loss but battled
The Bills played great and the Cleveland Browns played their asses off

The Panthers crapped the bed worse than the Bengals

I don't know what to expect out of that team anymore

The Saints have just about locked the division so a WC is the best Carolina can hope for now

PS I really love the Cowboys linebackers. Used to be Lee was hurt and they stunk. Now with Smith and Vander-Esch they are young and fast. It is amazing.

I think I figured it out Flaggy. I've watched the Redskins for years lose game after game after game where they were in it late. They are using up all their chits in one season. I've never seen a worse looking 6-3 team in my life. They honestly should be 3-6 right now... but they're not and it is much more fun to listen to sports talk radio when they are in first place... and then get slaughtered next week by the Texans.

Yes, they are a bad 6-3 team. But it is not right to say they should be 3-6. "Could" yes, not "should".
My contention for years is that, with the exception of maybe 5 or 6 teams, this is an 8-8 league. And the difference between 6-10 and 10-6 is 4 plays (and usually those 4 plays are low probability plays).
Now the reason I say "could" instead of "should" is because breaks rarely go with or against teams 100% of the time. So far, the breaks have been with the Redskins. That will likely even out soon and they will find themselves around .500.

Carolina's game winning drive ended on downs in the red zone.
Tampa had 3 red zone turnovers and 2 missed FGs.
They soundly beat Green Bay and Arizona.
Squeeked by Dallas and NY Giants.

They got blown out by NO and Atlanta.
They just could not get in the end zone against the Colts, losing 21-9 (was 14-9 early in 4thQ).

So they are basically 4-1 in close games, where teams are normally 3-2 or 2-3.

They have the 2nd easiest schedule remaining. They should finish no worse than 10-6.

I'm not banking on that. I'd be thrilled with 9-7.
Must beat the Eagles at least once.
Must beat the Giants at home.
Hopefully the Jags quit by week 15.

Can't see beating Eagles twice, or beating Cowboys (on road), Tennessee, or Houston.

This ^ is true...
I got murdered on here for saying something similar
that a top 5 team and a bottom 5 team in the NFL are within 15% of each other

The Jags and the Seahawks are a perfect example
They can get up for and beat anybody in the NFL
they also regularly lose to what looks like inferior competition

in the end a huge portion of the NFL ends the season somewhere in between 7-9 and 9-7

This wasn't called a hold. But they did talk about how strong Wentz was for not getting sacked. :ohno:

I'm no Spandos but no Cowboys opponent has been called for offensive holding since week 1. Which is a continuation of a lack of holding calls from last year. :coffee:

FWIW, this past season 17 of 30 MLB teams finished between 91-71 and 71-91 (same winning percentages you're citing) while only 11 of 32 NFL teams finished between 9-7 and 7-9. 8-)

so a third of the league lands around .500

I would argue a .500 baseball team is actually a pretty good team
and I think the same goes for .500 football team

The Ravens for example
since their last Superbowl are pretty much exactly .500 in the games since then
and nobody would consider them a "bad team" or easy to beat...
and yet they are indeed .500 over the last 5 seasons
