He gave them info on three investigations.

1. [Redacted]
2. Coordination between Trump campaign and Russia
3. [Redacted]

One of those redacted investigations is likely the one against his former partners that was unsealed yesterday in EDVA. Bijan Kian served on Trump's transition. :ohno:

Your fixation on this so-called "Trump-Russia collusion" is mystifying. Be patient, grasshopper; the longer he remains tied to the Republicans like a chicken-killing dog the more fun we'll have watching them later as they try to explain how actually they never did like him anyway and he wasn't a true Republican.

I'm still chuckling at the thought of Maxine Waters rummaging around in his taxes... :notworthy:

Wow

We’ll be seeing those collusion indictments any day now!

He gave them nothing on collusion and all they had on the man himself was lying

BTW since you’ve already read it 10 times, why don’t you surprise me with something I don’t already know about Misha?

The EDVA prosecutor told the judge yesterday that he could have been indicted along with his pals.

Come on, they also knew that they were skating on thin ice with Flynn in terms of how they went after him. Having him go away quietly would be nice for the investigation because it was not a shining moment for the them. Better for him to get a slap on the wrist and disappear from the news so as not to cast shade on the other, more important parts of the investigation.

When it comes to Mattis....

Obama and Trump are same-same.... at odds with Mattis for exactly the same reasons

At least Trump got a resignation out of the guy instead of relieving him without even doing him the courtesy of letting him know

Paul Manafort's lawyers, through a PDF malfunction, revealed this week that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has evidence that Manafort, when he served as Trump's campaign chairman, shared internal campaign polling data with an associate believed to be a Russian intelligence asset. This is a big deal, Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano told anchor Shepard Smith on Wednesday.

"This shows that Bob Mueller can demonstrate to a court, without the testimony of Paul Manafort, that the campaign had a connection to Russian intelligence and the connection involved information going from the campaign to the Russians," Napolitano said. "The question is, was this in return for a promise of something from the Russians, and did the candidate, now the president, know about it?” That would be "a conspiracy," he added, regardless of whether the Trump campaign actually got anything of value from the Russians.

"If this is collusion — though collusion isn't a crime — this would be collusion,” Smith said. "The crime is the conspiracy, the agreement," Napolitano said. "Collusion is a nonlegal term." "I know, but if there's collusion," Smith pressed, "giving stuff to the Russians about polling data ..." "Would probably fit into that kind of a category," Napolitano agreed.

No such thing - but conspiracy and obstruction of justice are still in play and it is already being said that Manafort's lawyer's screw up wasn't unintentional. :coffee:

I'm hoping that the prison scenarios happen after a Democrat takes back the White House. No pardons.

Payback for this shutdown will be sweet.

WASHINGTON — In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation.

The inquiry carried explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence.

The investigation the F.B.I. opened into Mr. Trump also had a criminal aspect, which has long been publicly known: whether his firing of Mr. Comey constituted obstruction of justice.

Agents and senior F.B.I. officials had grown suspicious of Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia during the 2016 campaign but held off on opening an investigation into him, the people said, in part because they were uncertain how to proceed with an inquiry of such sensitivity and magnitude. But the president’s activities before and after Mr. Comey’s firing in May 2017, particularly two instances in which Mr. Trump tied the Comey dismissal to the Russia investigation, helped prompt the counterintelligence aspect of the inquiry, the people said.

The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, took over the inquiry into Mr. Trump when he was appointed, days after F.B.I. officials opened it. That inquiry is part of Mr. Mueller’s broader examination of how Russian operatives interfered in the 2016 election and whether any Trump associates conspired with them. It is unclear whether Mr. Mueller is still pursuing the counterintelligence matter, and some former law enforcement officials outside the investigation have questioned whether agents overstepped in opening it.

Frankly I think the President should be viewed as any other citizen is viewed. If law enforcement sees some indication that they should investigate the President for a crime he or she should be investigated for a crime just as anybody else would be. We in this country have put Presidents on WAY too high a pedestal for a long time. They're just another person doing a job. It's an important job. But their shit stinks just like everybody else's does. They are not royalty. They are not indispensable. They are not above the law.

We'll John, they did investigate Trump, and they're doing it like they would a true outsider.

No wink wink, nudge nudge and all is fine like they do with the majority of DC professionals.
