NFL Divisional Round Pick 'Em
Re: NFL Divisional Round Pick 'Em
The wholesome Midwestern fans of Kansas City just threw snowballs on the field.
People in Minneapolis are probably getting the vapors at the sight of such hooliganism.

Poor 93. Are you upset because the Midwesterners were being mean or because they weren't bombarding Santa Claus?

And so, the Dallas Cowboys are eliminated before the Philadelphia Eagles.

But GF saying that the idea the Cowboys were a Super Bowl contender was the dumbest post of the year is wrong. Winning a playoff game and making it to the 2nd round, being one score away, makes you a contender.

All you’ll be “contending” for now, Russian, is Ukraine.Vidav wrote:Worst day of my life.93henfan wrote:And so, the Dallas Cowboys are eliminated before the Philadelphia Eagles.

I finally got one right: Rams over Cowgirls.
Andy Reid’s Chiefs won a playoff game. Is that a sign of the end time?

Patriots up 38-7 over Bolts, 3Q. Looks like I’ll get two right.

Well so much for this prediction.SDHornet wrote:Chargers

I've watched about 5 football minutes of the NFL this season...
...also called the Chargers winning a SB the day after they announced their departure from SD...
You're all welcome.

Sometimes people are easily swayed by buzz. The Chargers had a lot of buzz this season.
But sometimes you have to take a step back and give yourself a dose of reality.
Who the f*** are the Chargers really? They're Philip Rivers and a bunch of nobodies. And they were going to Foxboro to play Brady and Belichick on a week's rest.
That was the easiest pick I made this weekend. Chargers had no shot to win this game. Reality.
The toughest was the next game today.

I don't follow the NFL, just figured that now since they aren't in SD they would actually win something. Glad I was wrong.93henfan wrote:Sometimes people are easily swayed by buzz. The Chargers had a lot of buzz this season.

Oh and I agree about Rivers. He's a good QB that never had much support once LT and Vincent Jackson left. Spanos is a garbage owner.
Re: NFL Divisional Round Pick 'Em
There's something to be said for that reasoning as well. This league has a way of confounding you. Like when your team leaves town and suddenly wins a championship. That used to happen to Philadelphia (in all sports) with individual players in the 90s. It was maddening.SDHornet wrote:I don't follow the NFL, just figured that now since they aren't in SD they would actually win something. And in terms of Patriots QBs, well, I'll take Plunkett and Grogan over Brady, too....

Re: NFL Divisional Round Pick 'Em
Great effort by the Eagles after losing by 41 to the Saints 8 weeks ago. They just ran out of gas, and losing Cox for a time, Brooks, and Peters were killers today. It goes to show how important that first round bye is. All the home teams won this weekend for a reason. The Eagles have been playing playoff games for two months now and they obviously wore down. Nice adjustments by Payton on defense too, and a ballsy fake punt call.
I couldn't be prouder of the Eagles' effort after being 4-6 on Thanksgiving. They gave my son and me an exciting Week 17 Sunday at FedEx Field, both with the win and the scoreboard watching, and with two bonus games that nobody expected. They'll be back strong next year. #FlyEaglesFly
PS. Thank God Foles didn't win another Super Bowl, or the QB controversy would have been real. Thank you, thank you, Saint Nicholas Foles for delivering Philadelphia its first Lombardi Trophy. I hope you cash in on a boatload of money as a starter somewhere next season. #BigDickNick
