Agreed,
Socialism reveals itself as a hatred of the wealthy
though it is born from a love of the working class

It is born from a love of the working class and that lasts about ten seconds.

Every Socialist movement in history has been retributive and the ones we are seeing now are no different.

Though most past movements have been solely along lines of class ... the one we are seeing here has decided to add gender and race as tickets to the proletariat.

Is that the same EPA that's running under a Republican administration? Didn't they get the memo about freedom?

Regulatory agencies never do, regardless of the party in power.

No, not in regards to the Wyoming farmer. Check the article dates. All that was under the Obama EPA..

Ibanez wrote: That’s the wrong mindset. It’s also not like we just cut a check. As I mentioned, an important component of Foreign Aid to that region is LE support to fight MS13, and while it’s too early to tell the gang related homicide rates in one of those countries is declining.

At least that’s what those pink bastards on Fox News were saying.

There are legit concerns about foreign aid and its effectiveness and I don’t discount that.

That aid money for LE support is largely ineffective. The few DEA agents and anti-gang Feds are more effective than the entire Salvadoran police, and they aren’t part of any aid package

Information sharing on criminals is largely automated already, and also already paid for

As with other countries, a lot of aid money winds up enriching the same people who are pushing out the dregs and encouraging them to go north

When reporting on the effectiveness of LE aid, we actually don’t have a metric to describe results. In other words, we talk in terms of how many police were “trained” at our sponsored facilities (expensive and nicer than any police facility I ever trained in) and not actual results, like reductions in gang related violence

I don’t think Trump should manipulate foreign aid by fiat, but I do agree that we should make the awarding of it dependent on good stewardship. Money is nothing if not a lever.

If they don't play right with our foreign aid we can always change their government.

I can't believe you guys think that is a good move. All it does is reinforce the impression that we have a child as President right now.

So many people... so much ignorance

These people are being paroled into the country anyway, to await hearings they never show up for.

Busing them to places where they will be in the loving arms of people who want them is better than just pushing them outside the wire in El Paso and making them fend for themselves... to find their own transport to those cities anyway

I’d like for someone to show me the pitfall at the end of this exercise in logic.

It’s all fine and dandy when they’re shipped to Seattle but next thing ya know they’re knocking up your sweet 16 year daughter in the suburbs where you really didn’t ask for this....I’ve seen it a hundred times.

Most of the illegal immigrants I know are awesome and productive members of the community.

Do we still need to re-think the logic of this one?

It makes perfect sense to me.

They're going to wind up where the work is so it doesn't really matter where they come in. I'd be thrilled with a one-for-one exchange with the local white trash.

So Spokane isn’t a sanctuary city

And?
Depends on how sanctuary city is defined. Spokane appears on the map I looked at in the article. And that's point #1...liberal city council that votes to be a sanctuary city surrounded by conservative suburbs who might be affected as a result. Seattle might be a sanctuary city but if I live in Federal Way, I didn't vote for Seattle City Council or Mayor and yet, it can effect me. It's not as if they're going to be locked up in whatever sanctuary city they're shipped off to.

Which also brings up the whole state's rights thing. And/or the constitutionality of it. As mentioned in the article, there are county sheriffs and prosecutors declining to enforce because it's literally illegal.

Not to mention the logistics and costs of sending someone from Nogales to NYC for the sake of political retribution.

Or the devastating threat of...wait for it....sending latinos to Los Angeles. Oh the horror! How will they handle latino immigrants in LA?

As I've stated before...I'm not against the wall or severely cutting immigration. But this is dumb...
