I agree. The ESPN gurus were all predicting that Philly would take a DB at #57 but they took a slow hyphenated receiver from Stanford. (The Agholor replacement?) Guess we’ll see who’s left at #138.93henfan wrote:Blue Hen goes in Round 2. Eagles are going to regret passing on the local product:

Sanders backed up Barkley for 2 years and played sparingly. His Jr season was good, but McSorley would run quite often. He has upside with with his lack of touches over his Penn St career. Could be a sleeper.93henfan wrote:Eagles pick Miles Sanders at #53. I guess you can never have too many mediocre running backs.

Only reason I’m watching is to see where JMU’s Jimmy Moreland will go. I’ve heard anywhere from late 3rd to 7th. Should surprisingly be JMU’s 1st draft pick since OG Earl Watford went 4th Rd 2013 to AZ (last season with Browns now with Bucs). After 2 former players signed last week, now 9 former JMU players now on NFL rosters, but Watford was the only one drafted...

First headline that pops up currently for a Giants draft search on Google:
The Giants Entered This Draft as an NFL Punch Line. Then They Took Daniel Jones.

Or they may have drafted RGIV. We shall see!
At any rate, the NFC East may soon be the youngest starting QB foursome in the league.

Chargers just got the best QB in the entire draft.
They will probably win the Superbowl now within the next 3 years.

Re: 2019 NFL Draft Official Thread
Here's some good poking of AG1 by SB Nation:
With the 166th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Tom Telesco and the Los Angeles Chargers have selected quarterback Easton Stick out of North Dakota State.
After signing Tyrod Taylor in free agency, the Chargers still elected to burn a fifth round pick on a developmental quarterback that you’ve never heard of before right now. Stick is not a player that the Chargers should ever hope to see on an NFL field. He is a dual threat type, but he lacks the kind of arm talent you need to succeed at the next level. This is a completely wasted pick for a team that is trying to win in 2019, and the likelihood of him ever providing any value whatsoever is slim to none. This is a fascinating choice by a front office that had been having an excellent draft.

Just another in the long line of Mel Kipers that don't know dick about talent.
His arm is better than half the NFL QBs.

to draft a practice squad QB that can emulate some of the zippy QB's you're going to run into
He won't start a NFL game but he'll make a solid practice squad guy
The Chargers play the Chiefs twice and now have a guy that can emulate Mahomes for their D to work on

Re: 2019 NFL Draft Official Thread
Moreland 13th pick 7th Rd, 229th? pick overall to the Redskins.
Of 50 CBs on NFL.com, Moreland’s grade was tied for 28th. He was the 30th CB drafted. Are 2 undrafted ahead of him, ironically from Bama and Clempson. Were 4 CBs graded behind Moreland who were drafted ahead of him in the 6th-7th Rd. Moreland was the 2nd I-AA CB drafted (after the kid from SDSU who looked terrible in the Senior Bowl). Was also a Div II CB drafted.
Like I said I had read anywhere 3rd to 7th Rd. It was some writer for the Giants who had said 3rd round, and a Giants mock draft had him 4th round. I said on the JMU board after the 6th Rd had ended & Moreland, who clocked a 4.41 multiple times, hadn’t been drafted:

Obviously if Moreland makes the Skins it will be as a slot corner..Morelands problem is his size measureables- 5’10”/179. Most of the drafted corners have been 5’11”-6’1”, weight 190s to low 200s. Maybe only 1-2 drafted that were as short as 5’10”. Don’t know if any have weighed less than low 190s. Heck, one was listed at 6’3”, I think 213..

Re: 2019 NFL Draft Official Thread
Delaware has now had players taken in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th rounds of the NFL draft (plus higher rounds when the draft was more than 7 rounds).
We just need a 3rd rounder to bat for the cycle. Triples are always the hardest to get.
Adderly is our 29th NFL draftee. We've also had some fellows make an impact as undrafted FAs in the NFL, like Pro-Bowler Mike Adams, Zach Kerr, Paul Worrilow, etc.

Were at least 13 rom I-AA. I left off the 3rd Rd Chiefs pick, DT Khalen Saunders, WIU, and the 7th Rd pick by the Bills out of NC A&T.
13 were a low for this decade:
http://www.espn.com/espn/wire?section=ncf&id=26620776
But the below 4 draft rankings only had between 8 and 13 being drafted.
