The Flames (40-20) are now in the Final Four along with Iowa State, Loyola Marymount, and UT-Arlington. First game is against UT-Arlington, FRI at 1800 local time in Fort Collins, CO. It's a double-elimination format, with the ISU-LMU and Liberty-UTA losers facing off in an elimination game at 1000 Sat, with the winners playing at 1300. The winner's bracket loser will play the loser's bracket winner in a nightcap at 1600. The Final Two will play at Noon on Sunday for all the marbles; if the one climbing out of the loser's bracket wins, they'll play again at 1530.

This is the second time in the last three years Liberty has been in the NISC Final Four....
I typed in 'NISC' into DuckDuckGo, and came up with:
National Information Solutions Cooperative
National Institute of Senior Centers

Is this 'NISC' like the NIT of softball?

That's what I'm guessing. I'd never heard of it, either....

More like the CIT or CBI - pay to play, privately sponsored.

Liberty went 0-2 in the Championship Round at the NISC. They lost to UT-Arlington 9-8 on Friday and to Iowa State 7-2 on Saturday.

UT-Arlington won the whole shebang today with a 4-3 win over Iowa State.

It will be #7 Minn vs #2 UCLA.

JMU lost to UCLA last weekend 6-1 and 7-2. In the 1st game/3rd inning 4 unearned runs did in JMU. On ESPN they said this was UCLA’s 5th straight World Series. Their pitcher won the national POTY last year, and likely will again this year. UCLA looked bigger and way better than #15 seed Michigan.

The last 3 seasons, of 144 unseeded teams (48 each season), JMU was the only one to advance to the final 16 (They did made the final 16 as a #7 seed in 2017). Their only senior is their AA pitcher, but their #2 is almost as good. So they might be back next year..

I don’t feel bad about JMU losing to #2 seed UCLA. Since beating JMU, UCLA in the College Word Series:
UCLA 7, #7 Minnesota 2
UCLA 6, #6 Arizona 2
UCLA 3, #3 Washington 0
UCLA 16, #1 Oklahoma 3
UCLA 5, Oklahoma 4
UCLA wins the College World Series.
