Holy fuck, just looked at the rest of the standings and the Pads are the best in the NL.

We'll see how long this holds up.

Mariners swept at home by Houston. So much for that new dynasty. :coffee:

A week into May and the Rays, a team full of guys nobody ever heard of, still have the best record in baseball.

Whoever is in charge of developing pitchers in that organization deserves a big raise.

Nobody watches them. They’ll move to Vegas or somewhere within 3 years.

Doesn't change the fact that they have had a surprising amount of recent success with a very limited payroll.

Twins sending Kyle Gibson to the mound today. Solid value for a draft pick, 2 spots ahead of Mike Trout in 2009.

Mets v Marlins game was completed in 1 hour and 59 minutes today. You don't see that every day.

Also, the Marlins increased their total number of wins this season by 30% during the series.

I don't know if I need to have my game be that fast. I paid a lot of money for those seats, I don't see the need to have the experience be over so quickly. Why the rush?

Ouch. The Tigers just got swept in a 9 game home stand. The last 3 by the Marlins. A tenth game was suspended with them down 2 runs in the 7th inning. Shite.

I saw that and it will be interesting see how long they can keep it up. They have been playing some very good baseball here this month.

If they play .500 ball the rest of the way, they will have 90 wins, which should be good enough for the Central this year.

The Twins will win 100 games

They play the white Sox Royals and Tigers 57 times
Three teams that respectively will struggle to win 60 games

It's almost like they're in the AFC East. :D

The Tigers drive to the bottom is derailed somewhat, as they take 2 of 3 in Baltimore.

Detroit drafts two potentially big bats in the first two rounds of the MLB draft. They need them ASAP.

Biggest day of the season is over for me now. The trade deadline should be fun as well! :thumb:

Twins would only offer 2 years, because they think he is due for a 2nd Tommy John surgery, Cubs and Rays offered 3, but he really wanted to go the Chicago.
