The behavior of the US womens' soccer team is somewhat embarrassing. They are pricks.

I am calling for a game between the US womens' team and the US mens' teams so we can kill two birds with one stone.

1) The US womens' team can get the crap kicked out of it and learn some humility.
2) The US womens' team can stop claiming its members deserve to be paid as much as the mens' team is paid.

If only we held the same standards of behavior for all athletes...

I can't believe it's even suggested that some wouldn't complain about a men's team running up the score the way the women did in Thailand. Actually, I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it's not unusual to make up gender double standards that don't exist.

I also think it's rich that people are complaining that more funding is needed for a women's soccer program that's won 4 of the 8 WWC tournaments that have been. That would be like UConn women's basketball complaining they need more money.

Taunting is taunting. Rules are rules. When taunting and rules overlap, penalties are levied. When they don't overlap, there are no penalties. I'm not sure where the double standard exists here.
