California Gun Laws Fail Again

Post by ALPHAGRIZ1 »

Lots of victims made by California gun laws that failed once again to protect the citizens of that POS state.

That garlic festival needed ALOT more Gun Free Zone Signs. If the shooter could even read.

Yeah but if he were in a red state he would have had an assault pistol and killed 10 people instead.

Gun rights people need to be careful here in talking about the failure of laws because this is one of those situations in which the shooter bought a gun that was legal in a neighboring State then illegally brought it into California. Whey you raise the issue of laws the obvious response is to say that the Federal government needs to do something to make sure we don't have various State laws that allow different things. The obvious response is to say that the Federal government needs to make sure such a weapon cannot be purchased in ANY State.

California can say that it was not a failure of THEIR law. THEIR law prohibits that weapon. The failure, they can say, is associated with the fact that someone can buy a gun like that in Nevada.

Oh, and I don't think the gun free zone was a factor here because of the police presence. My understanding is that the police took him down very quickly. It's just that when you have a crowd and a guy starts firing unexpectedly into it it's hard to keep the casualty count to zero. This does not look to me like a situation in which one can argue that anything could've been prevented if there had been some armed citizens in the crowd.

Textbook case for why Gun Control must be done nationwide. A 19yo legally bought a AR-15 in one state, transported it to another state. Since there are no walls between states, this is too easy to do.

**** Reds couldn't stop a guy from spraying & slaying at the country concert on the Las Vegas Strip. They can't be stopped. They certainly can't be stopped by internet sloths like the ones spouting off on here.
Understand that I am a person who thinks that if one honestly interprets the Second Amendment according to what it says and what was intended they would say the Federal Government cannot prohibit the sale of the weapon used in this instance. But this is not a situation in which one can say that it was a failure of California's gun control laws or in which one can say that if ordinary citizens would've been armed the situation would've ended better. The Police were right there. The local government had a heavy police presence in place. And they reacted very quickly.

So with different laws in different states, you are saying we either need the same laws in all states or we need border control between the states.
Hmmm. You are making the argument for the border wall along the Mexican border.

WELL REGULATED. You gun humpers always leave that out.

An AR-15 should not be able to be purchased ANYWHERE.
