I think we should focus on Puerto Rican statehood first though.

Past presidents owned slaves too
past presidents did all kinds of things "in the past"
The relevancy of past presidents in this contexts
is about as relevant as dropping atomic bombs on enemies today
which is precisely the same time frame as a past president looking into unclaimed territories
meanwhile i'm still tying to find what behavior you won't defend ?

Triggered much? What behavior am I defending here? I'm merely laughing at another TDS induced lambasting on a non-issue and pointing out that a donk President has done similarly in the past. Not sure why you are reading into it more than that.Chizzang wrote:Tell me you're not really this stupid..?SDHornet wrote:

and there is no behavior or insanity you won't defend or explain away
You are the one that is triggered - it's rabid defense trigger
We get it... you love the guy no matter what
and anybody that points out how stupid his behavior is must be "triggered"
and yet there you are at every corner defending him
And what makes this all entertaining to me
is that he'd just as soon deport you - which is hilarious

What am I defending? I'll admit I am thoroughly entertained by this political theater. Trump tweets a lot of stupid shit, but only one side of the aisle seems to constantly get triggered by it. Ask yourself "why?" and then maybe we can have a meaningful conversation about it.
Also I was born here and my moms is legal so no deportation fears in this household. Your weak troll attempt is duly noted.

Perhaps Trump should study up on how Woodrow Wilson was able to purchase what is now the USVI from Denmark in 1917 for $25 million (roughly $500 million today).

The first lesson would be that purchasing territories was much easier 100 years ago.

Denmark had been trying to sell the USVI for decades - the US realized that better they buy it versus Germany, which could then use it to base U-boats against us.

Talking Denmark out of Greenland would be a good thing for any President, any side of the aisle. And I'm sure partisans on the other side of whichever President accomplished that would complain bitterly if it did happen. That's what partisans do.mainejeff2 wrote:#MAGAts running with this.
