I have no doubt that our eff'ed up process will lead to a clown being elected President. The question is do you want the crude talking clown with the best interest of the country at stake, whose policies actually benefit everyone whether they are bright enough to see it or not, or a smooth talking clown the panders to certain interest groups only and segments the country into groups in order to give special rights to those folks.

Like MLK, I'm for equal rights for all and not special rights for some, to the extent possible. Like it or not, that is what we have now. Vote for a socialist, special rights for my groups model candidate and we'll go farther down the Venezuelan type rabbit hole.

I can't believe sometime just how smart PT Barnum was, but here we are, looking at two candidates who once again will never go broke under estimating the intelligence of the American public. I'd at least choose the one with the best interest of the public at heart despite his crude words over the one with the interest of only some with smooth words.

You'd think he'd know better since he was instrumental in a lot of the civil rights movements, particularly the sit-ins, where nobody ever saw him. Maybe it was the coal dust from when he was a miner that rotted his brain.

The only reason they are talking about most of this stuff is because the Extreme Right Facists/Racists keep pushing this country to the Far Right. :thumb:
If by "far right" you mean

Record low unemployment (even for those minorities we supposedly hate)
Record high stock market (even for the proletariat, 70% of whom have 401k's invested in it)
honest days work for an honest days pay (a world where you actually get to KEEP more of your paycheck)
secure borders with a functioning ICE/DNS
tax cuts for the working class and small business owners
voting rights for citizens only (w/ID required)
shooting down socialism/communism
full support for the constitution and ALL the amendments
and shutting the "PC" generation up

Then yes, we're pushing it far right. If you keep pushing policies that will make the rest of America end up looking like LA, NY SF or Portland you're gonna get some push back. Nay, a SHITLOAD of pushback.

Division BROUGHT us Trump. Trump did not bring division. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
I guess you're right technically, division existed long ago.

I don't think Warren is artificial at all - I think she genuinely is that goofy. I think Biden's real as well - its tough to put up an act (personality or passion) for the 50 years he's been in politics. That's who he is.
I think you're right about both. And Warren seems to have noticed that the more she talks like Bernie the more popular she becomes - I'd prefer her to Biden but they're both too old.

New Monmouth poll shows virtual 3-way tie among Biden (losing support bigly), Sanders, and Warren. Edwards a distant 4th.

Still early.

You mean Harris, right? Unless John Edwards is making some kind of crazy reentry into politics.

You can see Warren gaining, she's had a good few months. Problem is, will she get any of the Black vote. Elite liberals may move the needle when it comes to polls, but they aren't the bulk of the Democratic party. As long as Biden holds onto the Black vote he'll still win the nomination.

Yep, Harris (Kamala). The only black woman I know named Edwards (Tamala) is a Philly newscaster.

Oh, btw, the combined age of the three Democratic frontrunners is 223 years. Almost enough to stretch all the way back to the Declaration of Independence (243 years).

Absolutely. But unfortunately, I don't think Bernie would ever be the Democratic nominee and I doubt Warren can be that by tacking in his direction.

Tacking in that direction could win the nomination but will make it more difficult to win the election.

Curious when you think Warren began tacking in Bernie's direction?
