Which living POTUS would you like to have dinner with?
One-on-one dinner for about an hour and a half to shoot the breeze.
(Note: No alcohol with Carter, Bush, or Trump since they don't drink.)

Bush. I would be OK with any and all would have interesting thoughts on their presidencies. I picked Bush because he has the added factor of being the son of a president and being able to explore that as well.
If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism. Ronald Reagan, 1975.

I was thinking the same thing regarding HW. Also 9/11, Iraq war, and baseball.HI54UNI wrote:Bush. I would be OK with any and all would have interesting thoughts on their presidencies. Obama would be second. That would be a beer summit.
I think Trump would go off on tangents and would be a frustrating ordeal.

Bush, by a pretty far margin. Politics aside, he always seemed like a pretty regular kinda guy. Even goofy.
Obama would be second for me, and the only other one I'd even want to have lunch with.
Carter is just too old and crotchety, Clinton is fairly slimy even as politicians go, and Trump is just Trump. I'd prefer not to be overly close in proximity to any of those three.

I chose Bush and for the same reasons above. Obama would be my second.

I would go with the Donald. People say he is a lot different in person, than his public persona.

Clinton and Trump are neck and neck the biggest liars on the course of all the POTUS's.Ibanez wrote:Was it the best round of golf, ever?89Hen wrote:BTW, a buddy of mine played a round of golf with Trump and said it was awesome.

I’ve heard stories about how blatant they are at cheating.89Hen wrote:Clinton and Trump are neck and neck the biggest liars on the course of all the POTUS's.Ibanez wrote: Was it the best round of golf, ever?

Re: Which living POTUS would you like to have dinner with?
I witnessed Clinton first hand. He was a nice enough guy, but he took mulligans to a whole new level. Probably shot 125+ and told the press around the 18th green that he shot around 90. There was a wedding taking place at the club when he finished and he didn't hesitate to walk right up to the terrace and get in the wedding photos. Talking to some of the Secret Service guys, he was a handful for them because he'd do stuff like this. Heard the same about W too.Ibanez wrote:I’ve heard stories about how blatant they are at cheating.89Hen wrote: Clinton and Trump are neck and neck the biggest liars on the course of all the POTUS's.

I picked Clinton. First of all, the "no drinking" choices are out. And Clinton would probably be the most fun to party with. Also probably the second most intelligent of the group (Carter is probably #1 in that area).

Dubya. And it’s not even close, even though he’s on the wagon.

Re: Which living POTUS would you like to have dinner with?
I read a biography on him earlier this year. I didn't realize how much of a sanctimonious jerk he was even when he was younger. What he turned into now isn't really a condition of him getting old and cranky, he's really always been that way.Ivytalk wrote:I left him out after several years of putting him in.css75 wrote:He needs to go this year, I have him in the pool.
