Nothing surprising about losing 35-3. Ducks offense was pretty vanilla most of the night. Ducks tried to go vanilla the week before against Nevada, but had to open up the playbook halfway through the second quarter when the score was 7-6. If the Ducks would have felt threatened at any time, the score would have been worse. The Ducks were in control of the game the whole time.

Ducks tried to go vanilla the week before against Nevada, but had to open up the playbook halfway through the second quarter when the score was 7-6. If the Ducks would have felt threatened at any time, the score would have been worse. The Ducks were in control of the game the whole time.
That was more-or-less my take, too. The Montana/Oregon game was pretty sleepy, and both teams were more conservative than I expected. The Griz acted like they were just trying to survive and never really looked like they were aggressively trying to scare the Ducks, while Oregon's offense seemed pretty disinterested after they went up 14-0. For example, they ran it about 80% of the time in the second quarter even though the Griz weren't getting anything resembling a pass rush at the time.
