Why are so many pro-lifers not at all pro life in matters such as these (war and whatnot)

:geek:

we've had that same conversation on this forum - and it gets no traction from the Pro lifers
:suspicious: What do you mean by no traction? IMO it's a lot easier to defend not killing babies in peace time vs killing in the name of war.

Many of us pro-lifers are open to abortion to save the life of the mother. That would be a consistent stance.

Do you disagree that a war protester shouting "Baby killer" a day after their pro-choice rally is far more hard to balance?

The guy is insane.

I saw a reporter ask him, "What about the ISIS prisoners held in Syria?"

He said, "they'll be escaping to Europe; that's where they want to go".

Whowhat?

He literally made no plan.

I don't have full-blown TDS, but I will thoroughly enjoy his downfall, especially after the fucker put me out of work without pay for over a month. Fuck him.

Trump asked Tillerson to persuade the DOJ to drop a criminal case against a Gullianni client who was an Arabian-Turkish gold trader.

Can Melania walk out on Trump now without tripping a pre-nup?

She sounds like Natasha Fatale, but with a good body.

It honestly may be time to invoke Section 4 of the 25th Amendment. The required Republicans could use it as a moment to show the party still has a spine.

The good thing is, Trump is already on record as saying he doesn't know what the 25th Amendment is.

Obama would say there are 57 amendments.

But I don't think he ever signed off on the abandonment and imminent genocide of an honorable ally who lost 11,000 men in the last five years fighting alongside us, defeating ISIS in Syria.

Fuck Trump.

Funny to see all the establishment folks/pundits on both sides erupt in outrage when someone actually follows through on the "not being the world police" idea. Get our troops out of there and sell as many guns and ammo to both sides as you can.
Agreed. GTFO of the ME and everywhere else. Quit being the fucking world's police, and paying for most of NATO's defense, so they can pump more $$ into their social safety net, which is ultimately subsidized by US taxpayers.

I thought you purportedly were the smart guy in this bunch. The “binary choice,” my patootie.

For 50+ years the GOP kleptocracy has manipulated the DoD, and America, with this tripe. The Montagnards, Assad’s daddy, Saddam and OBL were “useful” blood-thirsty free-dumb fighters for Uncle Sugar – until they were Neander-Con casualties of war. Thanks to Ronald Ray-Guns, we are the World Police.

“See What You Get When You Think With Your Dick” Cheney, and Donald Rums-Failed (along with their good buddies, **The John’s** – Bolt-On and Poindexter) embraced this canard. You. Can’t. Have. It. Both. Ways.

Spew crapola about “stop the terrorists overseas,” and then complain about the role of the global police? While doubling (tripling?) the global DoD/Spook footprint over the last 20 years, expanding the Pentagon base budget, while ‘slushing’ Overseas Contingency Operations?

Give me a break. Protect the dang Peshmerga and the Kurds.
CID1990 wrote:This is what being World Police gets us, among other things

The binary choice is -

1) boots on the ground expending blood and treasure forever

2) abandon the Kurds to their fate

It is painfully obvious that #2 was inevitable. The only thing left to us is to create a special immigrant visa class for Kurds so they can come live in Minneapolis and fight Somalis for gang turf

The Kurds, if they are lucky, will just wind up abused and subjugated like the Montagnards

Like all other things, only a Trump could fvxk the Kurds. Under any other President we’d still be over there in full force. And a certain group of loud voices would be decrying our presence there and not/not mourning the potential fate of the Kurds.

Just remind yourselves that Kurds would be mostly GOP voters if they were here and you’ll feel better about it

You obviously don’t follow me much. I suggest some catch-up remedial reading. Ask Jelly how to do it - he’s misread every post I’ve ever made about 5 times. Which is what you’ve done here.

I’m pointing out that the sudden sympathy for the Kurds (and now retroactively for the Montagnards!) is basically a feckless cunt litmus test

Let’s stop pretending we give a damn about the Kurds and admit that we just don’t like who’s abandoning them

1. It was over a month.
2. Yes, without interest.
3. Hundreds of thousands of contractors didn't.
