Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead A.

Post by BDKJMU »

Even if mentioned in another thread, this deserves it own. Breaking news this morning confirmed the ISIS leader and world’s most wanted terrorist is dead thanks to US Special Operations Command and Trump.

I'm still convinced the raid on Bin Laden began before Obama even knew it was happening. That fucker was on the golf course when the choppers took off from Bagram. Panetta and Gates were the ones who greenlighted the operation.

I think Presidents claiming credit for things like those two raids is ridiculous. There are functions of government that transcend Administrations. The governmental entities that got Bin Ladin were working on that before Obama took office and they were working on getting Baghdadi before Trump took office. They'd have gotten both of them no matter who was President. A President claiming credit for those things is like a President claiming credit for finding a cure to Alzheimer's because the NIH funded/coordinated research that identified a cure for Alzheimer's. It has very little to do with who is President. It's the unelected government people Trump is always complaining about who do it.

Yup. Obama gets credit for offing Osama. Trump gets credit for offing Baghdadi. The more dead jihadists the better.

On Trump talking about Baghdadi crying and such: First of all, if I had to bet I'd bet Trump was making that up. The guy was given a chance to surrender and opted not to surrender. If he was so scared for his life he could've given himself up. Secondly, the guy blew himself up. Why would he whine and cry because he's afraid to die then blow himself up?

But beyond that, I got a kick out of a guy who dodged the draft through his Daddy getting a Doctor to say he had bone spurs talking about how somebody trapped like that responded. What would HE do if HE were in that situation? It's pretty easy for him to talk tough when he's in the situation room while US military personnel do the work. How would HE respond if he were trapped by hostiles with weapons and no way out? He can't even take having the rain mess up his hair.
