With all those booby traps and suicide vests, they didn't want to risk any SEALs. Two soldiers were wounded, which was an acceptable loss.

I agree. I was responding to BDK saying this: thanks to US Special Operations Command and Trump.
You liberals were giving Obama credit for the killing of Osama back in 2011. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Well this conservative wasn't then, and isn't now, giving credit to someone sitting behind a desk.

I am not a liberal. However, I think it's important to say that I was not giving Obama any particular credit back then. I had the same position as I have now. What Trump now calls the "Deep State" had been after Bin Laden for many years. And it happened to get him while Obama was President. Same thing here. If Clinton had been elected the "Deep State" would still have gotten the guy. May not have been exactly on the same date. But it would generally have been close to the same time. All the stuff that was going on would still have been going on regardless of who was President. The US intelligence agencies and their allies would have generally have been doing the same things. And the US military would have generally done the same thing.

What I would say is that Obama said "OK." Everything was laid out for him as ready to go but they had to get his "OK." I suppose one needs to give him credit for saying "OK." But he had little to do with getting to the point where they were ready to go.

Heard someone on TV say that the Trump pulling out the troops from the 30km zone was part of a "head fake" to make al-Baghdadi feel a bit more comfortable in his compound and not move around until we attacked. I doubt this is true but it is certainly a possibility.

Boy, would heads explode if it was true though.

Well that must have been Fox News, because MSNBC, CNN & ABC have been beside themselves because Trump called al-Baghdadi a "doodoo head"...or something like that.
