If you don't believe in that garbage - which by all accounts he doesn't - you don't just accept a bunch of weirdos touching you in a cult-like prayer. Trump doesn't even like being touched.

But from Trump's perspective, it helps him. So yeah, it's a phony photo-op not born of genuine desire to be assisted by prayer to serve the American people.

He does not really give a shit about Christianity. But he gives a shit about getting re-elected.
