Unemployment hit a fresh 50-year low in September even though nonfarm payrolls rose by just 136,000 as the economy nears full employment, the Labor Department reported Friday.
The jobless rate dropped 0.2 percentage points to 3.5%, matching a level it last saw in December 1969. We should not be acting like it'd be the end of the world if something happened to them. No roads should be shut down because a President is coming through. They should just ride down the road like anybody else does.
It worked out fine in this case though. Reports are he didn't interfere with getting to the wedding.
And BTW Presidents should not be allowed to go do political things on the public dime. If they want to do campaign rallies they should have to pay for their own travel and their own security.
