I'd say that YOU and your buddies hide behind Trump....in fact, the entire GOP does.

If you don’t defend the Climate Strike manifesto and just whine about the Cheeto twitting about her then you are hiding behind her

I googled Climate Strike Manifesto and couldn’t even find it after a short search. Just some articles from right wing sites, and a Guardian piece.

Please post it for my review.

Thanks.

Well klam

Let me help you

Google “climate strike”

Then click on their actual website (that wasnt so hard, was it?)

Now remember, these are hardcore “democratic” socialists who are still at least pretending to want to do this democratically

so their demands sound sugary sweet. You’re predisposed to being easily fooled so I’ll warn you ahead of time that the devil is in the details

Ah...so I shouldn't have used manifesto like you called it.

I'll check out, but if it's anything like what UNI88 posted, those teenagers sound terrifying to be honest.

That’s because like most leftists, you rarely ask yourself what it would take to implement them or what the consequences would be

But you are skirting on the edges of being correct - their demands will never be realized democratically so they really aren’t very scary

The key is to keep them from becoming scary. Ridicule will do for now

The conflicts between many of the "demands" are laughably naive.

Transforming our economy to 100% clean, renewable energy by 2030, banning resource extraction, protecting lands and oceans, welcoming immigrants and moving to sustainable agriculture are noble goals but:
  • Are they feasible without increased use of nuclear power?
  • Will these changes cost significantly more jobs than they create especially in the short-run?
  • Will they increase poverty, hunger and stress on existing programs and infrastructure?
  • Why don't they address overpopulation in developing countries?
Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Thank you for your attention to this matter - UNI88

How do you convert to nuclear without first extracting the uranium?
How do you convert to wind without first extracting the steel, copper, etc., that make up the vast majority of the wind turbines?
Etc., etc., etc.,...their stupidity is mindboggling.

Hey - if we get some kind of Green New Deal or Climate Strike's wishes come true, we won't be lambasted for not calling 3rd world countries "developing"

No wonder they want full on open borders... why would anyone want to live in The Congo if they knew for sure it would never be able to industrialize and lift itself out of the iron age?
