If he wins again, you can thank an antiquated and completely undemocratic system.
Then they wonder why TDS exists when the majority of people didn't vote for the person in office.

We live in a Democratic Republic. Designed specifically to protect the minority from the whims of the radical majority (like you)-you know, prevent mob rule and all that stuff you'd blindly accept--THIS time. But don't worry....Trump will win in a landslide in November the way things are playing out, so even THAT talking point of yours will have worn out its usefulness.∞∞∞ wrote:Yes, we know.AZGrizFan wrote:We don't live in a democracy.![]()

Instead of saying "I want to make our nation as democratic and free as possible," it's telling your answer is "We don't live in a Democracy!"

As MJ says, buckle up, buttercup. Four more years!

Opinion. I like it, even when it doesn't turn out the way I want it to every time. If you only judge the system based on whether it fits with your personal preference on the outcome most or all of the time you'll be unhappy with anything short of your own personal dictatorship.mainejeff2 wrote:Bad system.GannonFan wrote:

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Lebanese security forces fired tear gas to disperse protesters outside the central bank on Tuesday night, facing off with dozens of people who pelted them with stones and fireworks.
Security forces also fired live rounds into the air, a Reuters witness and two local broadcasters said.
Protesters set garbage dumpsters on fire and threw tear gas canisters back at riot police as ambulance sirens rang out. Young men, their faces covered, smashed bank storefronts and ATMs, another Reuters witness said.
A wave of protests erupted last October against a ruling elite accused of steering Lebanon towards its worst economic crisis since the 1975-1990 civil war.

There is a larger issue though.....at what point does our system become a joke when the person with the least amount of votes wins (the electoral college) and "wins" losing by 3 million......5 million?.....10 million votes? Think of it this way.......your Conk candidate "wins" by 5 million votes.......but there are so many brown people in the wrong Congressional districts that you're guy actually loses the election. You won't complain though.....right?

The Antifa tailgate would be wild.
Wait. Do they still play football?
See, the system works. Convince voters to vote for you and you can win elections. Not terribly complex. In our lifetimes we'll see many more GOP Presidents, Democratic Presidents, and both Houses of Congress will change hands multiple times. The Republic is doing perfectly fine, apocalyptic pronouncements notwithstanding.Skjellyfetti wrote:Leftists are winning plenty of elections.CID1990 wrote:Here we go again...
