The Dukes’ 2020 campaign begins with a challenge. The defending FCS champions will start with a home CAA game against Delaware. The Blue Hens went 5-7 (3-5 CAA) in 2019 but return rising redshirt sophomore running back Will Knight, who averaged 7.4 yards per carry and posted 919 yards on the ground in 2019.

Pony express got way-laid by bandits in Missouri so the news hasn't made it back East yet.

Its the student run paper with a history of major errors.. The kid probably meant/was thinking ‘CAA’ and typed ‘FCS’. Obviously they didn’t bother proofreading.

This was published back on Jan 29. No one even mentioned it on the JMU board, as no one pays much attention to the Breeze because of its poor journalism. The local JMU beat writer for the last 4 years, Greg Madia, on the other hand is excellent.

I was just reading about the Pony Express last week. Didn't know it only lasted about 13 months and was replaced by the telegraph that quickly. Technology!

It was called the Mongo New Deal. Many short-sighted people were against it at the time.

Since everyone beside NDSU is playing for second place, JMU sort of was the FCS champion. The non-NDSU FCS champion. The other 125 teams have to have something to aspire to.
