Odds against a brokered convention are plummeting by the hour.
It may be effectively over by Wednesday morning, one way or the other.

I like that he thinks moderate GOPers exist in any relevant numbers - in the correct areas - to sway the general election.
It's purely about getting your people out to vote at this point, and despite what the media says, poll after poll show that Democrats will unite behind whoever the nominee is (except Bloomberg, his numbers are abysmal among progressives).

Looks like Amy is about ready to fold her big tent. Cancelling an event in her home state.

Agreed. This brokered convention thing is just Trump's (and the media's) wet dream. The only wildcard left is Bloomberg.....but I think that he will suspend his campaign after Tuesday.

Moderate GOP'ers exist. I'm one of them and there are lots of us. All DNC and the Donk candidates had to do was not go full retard. Moderates exist in the exact correct areas Trip. If they didn't then PA, NC, VA, WI, MI, OH, FL.... wouldn't be in play every election.AZGrizFan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 9:14 amModerate GOP'ers exist. I'm one of them and there are lots of us. I'm a moderate GOPer. The only place you'd consider me to be far right is pro-life, but even there I'm open to talking about mother's physical heath at risk or extreme cases like incest (one of the most stupid talking points of the pro-choice side), so I'm even more moderate than a lot of GOPers there too.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
Was just in a room with 5 liberals (98% of my office) and it was funny to see that even a room of 5 liberals couldn't come close to unification on a candidate. One liked Pete, one liked Bernie, one liked Biden, one said Bloomberg was slimy... the implosion is funny to watch.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
What do you think my stance on that is? I'm guessing you think I'm completely opposed to it even though I've clearly stated more than a dozen times I'm not opposed to legalization, but I do not think it will be easy or healthy for people.SDHornet wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 11:44 amSo you've relaxed your stance on marijuana? I don't recall what your stance is, I just know your panties always get in a bunch when the discussion of legalizing marijuana is brought up. Meh.

Meh is right. I rarely wear underwear...
In the years of that discussion, nobody was ever able to point out anything I said that wasn't accurate.
