So you're saying the DOJ could turn the entire nation into a college campus.

Every single person I’ve talked to said they value freedom over their life. Every single one said they’d rather die than give up rights.

Anecdotal, to be sure, but I’ve asked a shit load of people that question in the last 72 hours.

Nope. We had a POTUS do it once (Lincoln). Shouldn't have been done then, nor should it be done now.

Is this the latest hotness from the pearl clutchers, Jearf?

I mean, haven’t we been hearing this same tune for 3 years now?

Do you think you have any credibility at this point? I don’t know who lacks it more... Trump himself or his opponents

Should DOJ suspend Constitutional Rights?

Post by LeadBolt »

It would seem that a progressive regime would be more likely to suspend rights than a conservative one based upon the differences in their philosophies would it not?

The left seems to love to project their tendencies on the right imo.

Is it a co-incidence that the places in the US with the furtherest reach into freedom since the crisis has started seem to be in progressive mecas such as California, New York, Illinois, New Orleans, etc?

Haven’t the leftists not been criticizing the current administration for not acting quickly and decisively enough in limiting rights while warning that Trump wants to do this?

The disconnect in their logic is glaring if you focus on the whole of what they are saying and doing.

Yeah, you got me. I should have known that someone on the left would know better than I. That’s your forte, forcing your ideas on others rather than understanding the issue and evaluating the facts.

You have a lot more faith in the conservative side than I do. Do I think the left would expand government and take away individual liberties to advance their causes? Absolutely. Do I think the right would do the same thing but for different causes? Absolutely.

Conservatives in Washington give selective lip service to individual freedoms.

You don't say...
Like the FACT that not one Conservative administration has ever spent less than its Liberal predecessor
despite proclaiming smaller government as a cornerstone of the Conservative mantra

Yep. The conservatives have been great at limiting government, which is needed. It’s also been great at protecting the 2A.

The two groups that have been slowest to react and perhaps even under-react to this crisis are young people and conservatives.

I’m glad that Washington has a proactive governor who’s taken swift action.

Balance is good.
