Maybe if Bloomberg's campaign hacked Bernie and Biden's campaigns he would have seen better results.

They are equal. Neither one swayed any votes.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
Bloomberg got votes. No delegates but he got votes.
Russian trolls were successful in duping Americans. Our own government and the Trump administration has admitted as much. We won't know if it swayed any votes but it their campaign was successful. Collusion is one thing. Russian meddling is another and the two aren't necessarily linked. I don't think Trump conspired with the Ruskies. But they were successful.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
We can never know but it's very possible that Russian involvement did make enough of a difference to change to bottom line result. This was an election in which Trump won Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by a combined 78 thousand votes among 13 million cast. He didn't reach 50% of the vote in any of the three. It was much more a matter of a lot more people going third Party and the Democrat getting less of the vote than it was the Republican getting more. One thing the Russians were doing was trying to suppress the Democrat vote. Things like convincing Blacks not to vote, etc. It's not at all out of the realm of reasonable possibility that their activity changed things enough to change the outcome.
Also he actually got a lower percentage of the vote in Florida than Romney did in 2012 but won the State because the percent voting for the Democrat dropped by even more. It's not at all hard to see that Russian efforts to suppress the Democrat vote might have had an impact on who is President right now.

And BTW it wasn't some random Russian trolls. Per the Mueller report it was Russian government entities including a Russian intelligence service. It was a sophisticated effort. Again: In spite of Trump's exaggerations 2016 was an extremely close election. The margins were very thin. VERY possible that even a small degree of suppression would make a difference.

Judging by my Facebook feeds and the full on attack of Bernie from the DNC and establishment media, this thing is over.

I was a Bernie bro. This hurts.
The only way we can make this right is to attack Biden. Will you join me?

These people vote...probably for donks...
...it's why I'm surprised Bernie's free shit didn't appeal to more folks on Super Tuesday. They can't comprehend these types of costs on a budget/taxes.

There are plenty of dolts on both sides, but it does explain why so many people don't understand that Bernie's plan would bankrupt the country. Hell, even he didn't get that saving billions doesn't put a dent in trillions in cost.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
The Bloomberg situation could be very good for the Democrats if they can get Bernie to STFU. He alone immediately eliminates Trump's financial advantage. They have to be sophisticated about it but they can use the funds. Plus I think Bloomberg is capable of fostering sophisticated propaganda strategy. He is capable of putting the Republicans at a disadvantage in that regard.
Just get Bernie to STFU.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
Do you know who votes for Donks? A solid majority of the most educated people in the population. Post graduate education people voted by 58% to 37% for Clinton over Trump in 2016 and by 65% to 34% for Democrats over Republicans in the 2018 House elections.
The "people who vote for Democrats are stupid" thing just doesn't work. The cognitive elite in this country vote Democrat. I'm using education as a proxy for IQ. But I am confident that if only, say, the top 15% of the intelligence distribution in this country could vote the Republicans would be completely screwed. The Democrats would chronically control both houses of Congress by overwhelming majorities as well as the Presidency.
