So you're actually dumb enough to believe that Trump doesn't have any advisors that want him to take advantage of crisis..?
I find you endlessly amazing Pwns

You kinda remind me of Ben Carson
the stupidest doctor in America
Trump, ignoring the advice of people who know better than him and acting impulsively? Nooooo.

Even after downplaying this and dragging his feet he's still saying he wants to try to restart the economy on Easter. There's a lot you can say about Trump that's not good, but a wannabe autocrat he is not. He knows he has to win an election and can't use trickery to try and extend his term.
Trump's concerns are for his own businesses (firstly) that's been made clear since day one
(secondly) His responses to all things complex are a combination of Dunning-Kruger and Bias Confirmation

Anything else you're reading into his actions beyond the two things listed above is "3D chess over analysis while watching a checkers match"

Nope, Trump's first concern has been and always will be what other people think of him - he's a narcissist of the first order. That's been clear since way before day one, it's pretty much his defining characteristic.

So um...
the WHO didn't have official response on CVD-19 until January 29th because China was witholding medical data
and at no point has anybody from any health organization ever claimed that Viruses are non-communicable diseases (NCD)

China told them to stfu...and they did.

Wapo article from Feb 8th:
As a mysterious virus spread through Wuhan last month, the World Health Organization had a message: China has got this.

And as the coronavirus swept across the Chinese heartland and jumped to other nations, the WHO’s director general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, applauded the “transparency” of the Chinese response.

Even as evidence mounted that Chinese officials had silenced whistleblowers and undercounted cases, Tedros took a moment to extol the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“We were deceived,” said Lawrence Gostin, a professor of global health law at Georgetown University who also provides technical assistance to the WHO.

“Myself and other public health experts, based on what the World Health Organization and China were saying, reassured the public that this was not serious, that we could bring this under control,” he continued.

“We were,” he added, “giving a false sense of assurance.”

Not me. And Fauci came up immediately after to assure that the timing is still day to day, week to week.

What did you see?
I didn’t see all those “assumptions” about the Easter holiday that the Independent made.

Maybe you can bookmark those parts of the press conference vid for me

I have no idea about their overlords or what their motivations are...
What I do know is - No science or Health organization would ever say a "Virus wasn't contagious"

They might say all kinds of inaccurate sh!t
But they would NOT classify I virus as an NCD
NOTE:
nobody ever said CVD-19 wasn't contagious

We are bickering over the minutiae of WHO’s initial response to the WuFlu

And it’s true - I don’t think they said the virus wasn’t contagious (though they may have downplayed its transmissibility)

But the bigger takeaway here, yet again, is the sway China holds over some world organizations like WHO. It is obvious that WHO wanted access and was willing to play Xi’s game to keep it

And so China was able to shape the narrative over what is actually hard science, and was able to use a highly respected global health organization as a mouthpiece

Wake up people -

Wake up people -
I don't disagree with that assessment - China is a nightmare on the world stage and no doubt manipulated the WHO
But I am going to be a stickler on global contagion and just making sh!t up about who said what

China manipulating the WHO is a concern
The WHO announcing that a Virus is an NCD is grounds for disbanding the organization
By definition a virus is a contagion
