Chauvin, officer knee on neck, 44, is a 19 yr veteran, hired in 2001. The Asian cop in the video was hired in 2009.
The 2 cops not in the video were hired "less than 3 years ago" and in 2019.

Going by what's on the video, Chauvin (Knee On Neck) should be charged with 2nd or 3rd degree murder (Minnesota 1 of 3 states with 3rd degree murder). That's what makes this even worse. He wasn't some rookie cop, but a 19 yr vet. Throw the book at him. Probably the Asian cop should be charged with something also.
Not sure about the 2 junior officers off video, if they were following Chauvins orders & focused on dealing with the bystanders. I'm sure the rookie cop (trainee?) is going to say that he was following the instructions of the 19 yr vet (supervisor?) and assumed he knew what he was doing, who was he as a rookie to question it, etc.

Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... Floyd.htmlA suspected looter has been shot dead outside a pawn shop after protests over the death of George Floyd descended into chaos Wednesday night and rioters vandalized stores across the city.
Minneapolis Department Police Chief John Elder confirmed in a midnight press conference that one person was shot and killed and that another person was being held in custody.
Elder said officers had responded to reports of a possible stabbing at around 9.25pm between Bloomington and Lake Street.
The body of a man - who medics later confirmed had been shot - was found lying on the sidewalk outside the Cadillac Pawn shop by police officers who performed CPR on him.
Stores including Wendy's, Target, Walmart and AutoZone were looted, ransacked and some set alight before rioters tried to bust open an ATM, as many ignored pleas from the Floyd family's lawyer and Minnesota Governor Walz to protest peacefully Wednesday night.
Videos showed what was reported to be an apartment building entirely engulfed by flames as rioters stood and watched and the fire department was nowhere to be seen. An AutoZone store was also one of those which was set on fire.
Outside a GM Tobacco store, a group of four men with huge firearms were seen and said they had come to protect local businesses from looters,
During the riots, a woman in a wheelchair was punched in the head and sprayed with a fire extinguisher after trying to block protesters - allegedly with a knife in her hand.
The business owners should be furious at the police. An officer inexcusably kills a guy causing the rioting, and then the police do nothing to stop the looting (being done by what looks like all races). The murder of Floyd is no excuse for people to loot. What's worse, is a store owner apparently shoots and kills a looter, and the store owner is arrested. He should be commended. Looters are suppose to be shot. If looters started getting shot right and left, the looting would end.

No, those that mocked and scorned Kaep are the complete POS. This is why he kneeled, and he was called anti-American. If people had taken Kaep seriously then, progress could have been made. But instead, the racists in this country complained about him "disrepected the flag or some other racist BS.

What’s sad is the looters are only confirming suspicions. Thus the cycle continues.

Re: Here We Go Again (Minneapolis, MN)
Kap's problem was always the how and the where, and his message was fatally doomed by the fact that he was regressing as a QB, was the product of a system that was very coach dependent (Harbaugh in this case), and his NFL future was already dimming. The kneeling just hastened his exit, but it was inevitable. And a diminishing NFL player doing the protesting at a game and during the anthem was almost assuredly going to be ill-received and it was. His message was great and absolutely needed - America has a groundswell of inherited racism that it needs to deal with - but he made sure that message got clouded and never got the airing that it should've because of who he was (a QB on the downhill) and how he did it. Right message, just a bad messenger and method. He would've been more effective if he quit the NFL at that time and went full activist.kalm wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 12:37 pmKap is hardly the villain here.dbackjon wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 12:28 pm

Supposedly, one of the cops worked with the victim as security. Not sure they knew each other as one guy worked inside and the other outside.
