There isn't any mastermind involved-the only person that had a plan was the scumbag cop that snuffed the handcuffed suspect, everybody else is just grabbing an opportunity that fell into their laps. The MPD says they've arrested several people with ties to white supremecist organizations, but you know how cops lie, and undoubtedly the antifa crowd is on top of things too although I haven't seen a Guy Fawkes mask yet but right or left there seems to be a whole lot of white folk breaking glass and looting the small businesses that are left unprotected while the cops protect the big businesses and the home of the scumbag that started things off, (And whose wife just filed for divorce after stating her support for the family of the victim).

According to the government website I linked you are not disobeying to be outside after 8pm as long as you are on your own property. That is what you were arguing about, saying people had to be inside their homes. That is a flat out lie. That is the only point I was making.

They were told to get inside.

I think he is referring to antifa thugs infiltrating the protests and setting off the riots via breaking windows and other vandalism. I don't think anyone here is claiming the cop killing Floyd was a setup specifically for these nationwide riots.

I don't either and I don't see how you read that in. Officer Chauvin was the only one with a plan and it wasn't about riots, it was about snuffing a handcuffed suspect in the middle of the street in broad daylight while his buddies helped. But hey what is that compared to property damage?

Chauvin and those other cops need to be thrown in jail for a very long time at the very least. Not sure how any of that means rioting and looting is okay though. Why the left is embracing the idea that those two stances are mutually exclusive is absurd.

A lot of people looting and damaging private business/residences are doing it for selfish reasons, not the interests of the protest. And in LA there's a video circulating of cops leaving an old cruiser behind during a peaceful protest...and then possibly burning it themselves.

Of course this constant highlight of looting is a great right-wing tactic to avoid the actual issue at hand and demonize those who fight for equality. They also avoid talking about the cops instigating violence, or the protestors who clean, help fix damage, and donate to those affected.

So where’s the justice for the cops that were brutally beat last night? My sister is taking care of the one in Charleston. Beaten for being a cop. That’s not how you get progress.

That’s how you get anarchy and confirm the suspicions of people that are already upset over the violence.

Zero sympathy for those cops that got beat. They brought this on themselves by not arresting bad cops when they have been violating people civil rights for 100 years. Fuck them and their thin blew line.

Tell me how destroying hotels, banks, grocery stories furthers the cause for racial equality. Protesting the murder of this guy is understandable. Being angry is understandable.

Protesting injustice by destroying your neighborhood and companies that have no involvement turns yourself struggle for equality and justice into a farce.

The exploitation of people through capitalism is part of the injustice. Capitalism and inequality are explicitly tied together.

Kind of like how socialism and poverty are explicitly tied together?

The police and government response is much tamer than I would expect to see if this were to happen in a socialist country. How do we think Castro and Che would have responded to such brazen challenges to government authority in Cuba? How did Maduro respond in Venezuala?
