The abuse isn't bullshit either. This was the culmination of NSA Director Mike Rogers ordering an audit and FISA judge Rosemary Collyer issuing a report in 2017 on that audit.

Many believe this is why the whole Russia collusion narrative started. Rogers shut down their illegal searches, so they had to find another way, hence Russia collusion.

The commenter Lampton brings up some very interesting points. Particularly with Lew - Russia Russia Russia sucked up all the oxygen in the room and was easy to forget how the IRS had been weaponized against conservative PACs.

I like that guys blog. Usually some really informed commenters on the site.

The other site you here me talk about is The Conservative Treehouse. He's talked about Eric Holder and IRS data. The first guy, Mark Wauck, usually takes a little air out of The Conservative Treehouse, which is nice to hear. I could easily be buffaloed on all this stuff and wouldn't know better.

If you care to read.

I generally stay away from the CTH for the same reason I stay away from Koz.

I don’t like having to go verify stuff from outside sources

Thats why I generally stick with NR and Atlantic. They seem to be the last two holdouts against complete asshattery

I hear ya. I took a personal challenge to try and find two non-mainstream media to see how well their efforts would inform me about Russia collusion. I've admitted this previously in this thread.

That's why I like the one site a little better, because he criticizes CTH for the drama, but I'm stuck with it now.

I think you've got quite a leg up on me with all your knowledge of players, policy and roles.

I'll know how well my "sources" were when this is all said and done. Still don't trust that much will happen.

Wow! Was just reading CTH and he floated the idea that the NSA database abuses were being used for insider trading.

That might be conspiracy at this point, but holy shit that would be huge.

How long before Democrats cry racism for going after Obama's DOJ and FBI?

Actually, how loud will the cries of racism be, is probably the better question.

Said since that story came out that that lawyer looked cooked.

Wasn't it others who have been saying "false statements" is just a process crime or that it shouldn't be illegal? Ie "nothing to see here."

That’s a high bar to leap to say the stupidest thing said in this thread but you sure cleared it by a mile, Reek

Let’s be clear -

An FBI attorney, tasked with providing legal counsel in matters involving seeking warrants to surveil US citizens, intentionally altered the information provided to the FISA court so the FBI could secure a warrant to spy on a private US citizen.

That is gross law enforcement malfeasance. Not a process crime. In fact, our of everything to come out this whole fiasco, this guilty plea is to the most serious crime related to the Russia conspiracy theory investigation.

You’d be going snakeshit berserk if the same attorney did the same thing to go after Antifa or BLM so just spare us all your idiocy.

He's not charged with it, though. He's charged with one count of making a false statement - something you have said repeatedly in this thread should not be a criminal offense. Now your tune is different. :suspicious:

I've said the dude is and idiot and is fucked. I'm not defending him.

He made a false statement to secure a warrant you moron. The details of what he did are clear. He intentionally violated Constitutional rights of a private US citizen

Lying to investigators should not be a crime. They should do their jobs and make their cases without the benefit of a law that makes it a crime to lie to them. I have said that all along, so once again your attempt to find some kind of inconsistency with me falls flat

This attorney manipulated a warrant application. Do you need it any clearer than that? Maybe a graph?

I don't disagree and haven't said I do.

I'll try one more time.

We've spent several years on here with y'all arguing that what Flynn was charged with amounted to a process crime or a crime that should not be a crime. Flynn plead guilty to lesser charges to prevent him from being charged with other crimes.

Now, pleading to a process crime is suddenly much more than a nothingburger. :suspicious: Now, suddenly the same criminal statute that you argued should not be a crime... should be a crime. He did it in a different way, but he is still charged with the same offense as Flynn (though, less counts).

I've asked this long ago in your abortion of a thread, but with this post I think I'll ask it again:

How does one obstruct entrapment?

I'll continue to wait for an answer. :coffee:

WTF are you even talking about?

Flynn has to prove entrapment. In the numerous filings, he and his lawyers haven't made a case for entrapment. Because there is none.

You're better off letting Cid fight your battles for you.

This is what you’ve devolved into, Reek

Inventing a nexus between lying to Federal investigators and lying in order to procure a warrant to spy on an American - and calling them the same thing because “they were charged with the same thing”.

And - you’ve already modified your point of contention, Boy. And you’re still wrong- nobody has criticized plea deals. I have criticized ACTUAL process crimes as evidence of collusion - which you have continually accepted on this thread. Your position the whole time has been “Why lie?”

This attorney lied to secure a warrant that’s an actual felony with a real person as a victim. If you find criticisms of lying to investigators somehow hypocritical from someone also criticizing gross abuses of prosecutorial power, then you just go right ahead and waltz on down that avenue, sweetheart. At this point its just some weird masochism.

The fact that you are even pursuing this idiotic point of debate makes it much clearer why you believed this whole conspiracy theory in the first place
