Why don't the Republican controlled legislatures in the red states just rescind the popular vote to choose the electors for the Electoral College, and exercise their constitutional right to select the electors to the Electoral College directly.

They have more than 270 electoral votes. :coffee:

Mail-in issues resolved.
But Trump says it's cool to mail-in in Florida. And the NC Republican Party is sending out mailers instructing people how to request an absentee ballot.

He's on both sides of it. Trump is nothing more than NY Mob scum. :ohno:

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is emerging from obscurity and into a glaring hot spotlight lately, raising alarms with aggressive new strategies that have upended the United States Postal Service just as it heads into possibly the most consequential moment of its history -- the great vote-by-mail election of 2020.

DeJoy's administration has slowed delivery, removed high-speed letter sorters from commission and issued a stark warning to election officials that mail-in ballots will no longer automatically be moved as priority mail. On top of that, the USPS has started reducing post office operating hours across several states, cut overtime for postal workers and removed some of their iconic blue letter collection boxes.

So..election tampering is ok as long as it's not FRAUD. Got it, thanks Drumpf.

A lot of fake news and fear porn being put out. Like this:

Former president Barack Obama warned against attempts to “undermine the election” on Friday, and said on Twitter he was concerned that Americans who received their medication or social security checks through the postal service may become “collateral damage for an administration more concerned with suppressing the vote than suppressing a virus”.

Even though SS stopped sending checks during zero's Presidency.

Rape against slaves was so prevalent that it's the exception when a black person doesn't have ancestry marked by white genealogy. It's like asking a black person why their last name sounds European.
Prevalent yes, but not every black girl was raped and bearing mulattoes.
Blacks typically took the name of their owner or the plantation (sometimes they were one in the same like Drayton). That's why I can count more blacks than whites in Charleston named Middleton, Drayton, Rutledge, Pinckney, etc... That's why the Drayton family reunion every year is overwhelmingly black. It's not JUST because masters had their ways with some of the women. It's because the men adopted the names as well.

I've read several sources on this. It's still not clear to me what is actually going on. I'm all for streamlining processes and introducing efficiencies. However, a red flag for me is that that mail-in ballots will no longer automatically be moved as priority mail. If you have a good source that explains why we are suddenly not going to move ballots as priority and limit the services of the Post Office so close to a presidential election, I would like to see it. So far, there are a few red flags popping up. I can't trust what the POTUS says b/c he's the #1 provider of fake news.

I agree. They had no choice over who their forefathers were. That's true of everyone else too.

No, this it totally fine. It's just a coincidence that the POTUS is bitching about mail-in voting, claims there'll be fraud w/o giving evidence and THEN his political appointee starts making moves that will directly impact the efficient counting of votes.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but something is rotten in the state of Denmark. For a man that is a genius at PR, he sure makes a metric-ton of PR blunders.

Biden does fine answering questions. Not that he never screws up. Everybody does. But he's obviously not suffering from cognitive issues. I think the right trying to foster the narrative that there is something is wrong with him cognitively is setting itself up for failure in that regard because as the situation ramps up over these last few months people are going to see him answering questions, etc., and are going to see that the people trying to promote that narrative have been lying to them.

:ohno:
Trump is talking about absentee. Not a mass mailing of ballot to every person on the voter rolls.. HUGE difference. So no he's not on both sides of it.

But Trump says it's cool to mail-in in Florida. And the NC Republican Party is sending out mailers instructing people how to request an absentee ballot.

He's on both sides of it. Trump is nothing more than NY Mob scum. :ohno:
Trump is talking about absentee. Not a mass mailing of ballot to every person on the voter rolls.. HUGE difference. So no he's not on both sides of it.
Seems to me like he is. Or are you saying Trump's word isn't to be trusted. He began making the distinction between the two a few weeks ago (probably b/c he didn't know there was a difference. Which would not surprise me.)
