Oh bullshit. Feel free to criticize Trump all you want. It’s when bring a Trump supporter is equated with being a racist, a sexist, a bigot, a Nazi, a pedophile, a liar, a cheat, a blah blah blah blah that you’re gonna get called on it. Damned near every single open Trump supporter here (with 1 or 2 notable exceptions) has expressed significant reservations about him and his words/actions. I’d LOVE to have a better alternative, but he’s STILL the best of the two shitty alternatives. Criticize Trump. Criticize his policy actions, but don’t play that bullshit and assign HIS perceived shortcomings to every single conservative—that shit only flys on one side of the aisle.
I'm telling you Tom, Republicans can't protest his actions or comments w/o the base getting riled up and calling him/her a traitor, loser, snowflake, etc...
I'm not talking about equating a Trump supporter to a baby killer. I'm saying that Congressman X speaks out against Trump or differs from him and they are suddenly a loser, traitor, needs to be thrown out or lose their leadership position. Liz Cheney spoke out and that drew the ire of Trump, Rand Paul and others. Same thing with Flake and John McCain. He spoke out, had the audacity to have his own opinions and was ridiculed and driven out of the party. Did Republicans change or has the Republican Party changed? Mitt Romney was the same. The Republicans are going through their own purity movement.
No shit. We are tired of the establishment pols like the Bushes, Cheneys, Clintons, Romneys, Kerrys, McCains, etc., etc. There really is very little difference between any of them. They are all fully vested in the deep state and political elite.

When these fuckers speak against Trump, they are really speaking in favor of the establishment and deep state.

Many of us don't like Donald Trump but are OK with President Trump precisely because we have been hoping for a non-establishment GOP president for decades. Now we've got one and we are going to defend him if he is even remotely defensible.

When he was elected, the heads of the worst people in America and around the world exploded. That is how I knew we made the right choice.

We didn't vote for him because of who he is. We voted for him because of who he isn't.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Gotta say, props to CitadelGrad for a decent defense of his Trump vote. I think that's the first one I've seen on here.

17-year-old arrested in killing of 2 people in Kenosha
In the wake of the killings, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers authorized 500 members of the National Guard to support local law enforcement around Kenosha, doubling the number of troops sent in. The governor’s office said he is working with other states to bring in additional National Guard troops and law officers. Authorities also announced a 7 p.m. curfew.
This tragedy could and should have been avoided? But blame doesn't just lie with law enforcement. Protesters/rioters/looters have been walking around armed as well. Were you criticizing the lack of a police response when photos or video showed an armed protester messing with a law enforcement vehicle?

Trump is justifiably accused of dragging his feet on response to COVID19, should Gov Evers be accused of dragging his feet in sending in and reinforcing the National Guard? Should a curfew have been imposed earlier?

On the scanner reports, why are they letting these caravan's of vehicles into Kenosha. The ones with people dressed in black with cans of gas. That should be a red flag right there.

That's a decent explanation of Trump. It's one i've heard countless times and I get it. I think his election was a short term gain. There wasn't any long term planning with that one.

Let me ask you this...if you've been tired of establishment politicians for decades, why haven't you (the Republicans) done more to get them out and bring in fresh blood. If stale, career politicians were the problem why were y'all re-electing them. Same goes for Democrats.

I'm guessing the base did jack shit to effect the change they want b/c they were happy with the status quo. :twocents:

I disagree with your "deep state" conspiracy theory. I think that's a cop out. There's no proof of it. If there is a deep state, why hasn't Trump done more to root it out? Is he as impotent as 44 that came before him?

Video shows a group of people running down the street, including the man in the green t-shirt who appears to be being chased. He and his pursuer briefly disappear behind parked cars and then gunshots are heard.
Why would someone who is unarmed chase someone who is armed?
Soon after, another video shows a crowd chasing the suspect down the street. “What did he do?” someone asks. “He shot someone!” someone else replies. The man appears to trip and fall. Two protesters run towards him, he sits up and shoots them both.
This isn't Flight 93, why threaten a person with a gun?
Ford said many in the crowd were armed — not just the militiamen who were standing guard outside a nearby gas station. For example, members of the Socialist Rifle Association, an armed leftist gun group, were present. Other protesters had pistols in holsters. “I had kinda gotten the feeling the police were overwhelmed and didn’t really know what they were doing most of the night,” said Ford.
He wasn't the only armed civilian and it was probably pretty chaotic. Kenosha is not a large city and this was probably way more than their police force has faced in a long time if ever.
The shooter has meanwhile been hailed as a “hero” by the far-right. “That boy is a patriot,” one person wrote on the imageboard 4chan. “Well he became a man today, that’s for sure,” another commented.

Should have assumed there would be protests that would turn violent (either from the protesters or random agitators from the right or anarchists.

If there is a Deep State, it's still there. Trump has to do a lot more to truly root them out. Otherwise he's just an inconvenience that they can wait out.

Saying that Trump rooted them out or that they rooted themselves out when he was elected is just another way for Trump's supporter to fellate him.

You seem a little bit past what I believe the Deep State to be. Simply, entrenched politicians and employees that believe they can act in their best interests and not that of the President.

Ukraine impeachment is the perfect example. Dems didn't even mention that shit at the DNC convention it was so embarrassingly weak.

??? I want them and the President to act in the best interests of the country not the best interests of the President. We have too many politicians (including the President) and bureaucrats acting in their own best interests.
