Meanwhile ignoring the 17 year old illegally possessing and transporting a fire arm across state lines who was also out after curfew in a city he did not live in "protecting" a property which was not his.

Was his defense that he worked/owned that place?

Turns out that was a lie.
I've heard that it wasn't his gun but a friend's from Wisconsin. If true it wasn't transported across state lines. The link says that he was working in Kenosha so he has ties to the community and that he was asked to help protect what was left of property that looters had previously damaged so he had a reason to be there.

The left wants to focus on the an out-of-town shooter who used an illegal firearm transported across state lines and the right wants to focus on the criminal history of people that were shot. Outsiders on both sides aggravated the situation and both sides should own that. The governor and local authorities did not respond quickly enough with the national guard, curfews, etc.

The entire event was tragic and shouldn't have happened but it did. Let's not double down on stupid and continue to respond to violence with more violence.
Surely. You look at one of the video clips from earlier in the night when everyone was still assembling and acting all macho - the vast majority of the people there after dusk were there to cause chaos. It was like watching "The Purge" but in real time with real people. It's like what you see in Portland after dark as well - these people just want to see chaos and they're happy to partake in it. Nihilism at it's finest I suppose.

Maybe the 17 year old should have listened to the idea of not responding to violence with more violence while illegally possessing a weapon in a state you don't live in after curfew and we wouldn't be dealing with a 17 year old murdering 2 people with an illegally possessed weapon in a state he didn't live in and then fleeing the state.

But you know....

Black people bad or some stupid shit like that, right?

I like how the narrative has morphed into "he should have never been there" because the white supremacist card couldn't be used since it was a white dude offings other white dudes...never mind that none of these people should have been there to begin with.

I don't think "Black people bad or some stupid shit like that". I think that kid put himself in harms way as did the people that he shot and bad things happened. The kid is responsible for his decisions and the results but so are his "victims." They were outside agitators too. Were they there to peacefully protest or to fvck things up?

The kid reportedly worked in Kenosha and lived only 20 miles away. He was probably more of a local than they were even though he was from another state. I lived within 25 miles of Kenosha for about 27 years. I know the area, I know how intertwined the communities along the Illinois/Wisconsin border are.

Why are you angry? Why are black people angry? What are the issues (not symptoms) that are causing the anger? Draw attention to those issues, not with rioting and looting but with peaceful, non-violent protests. Let's try and solve those issues.

Protesting police brutality with rioting, looting, and violence is hypocritical and its scaring people who might otherwise be sympathetic to the cause. It's increasing Trump's chances of winning in November.

I love that narrative the media is pushing and pushing as it has really any bearing on this. Maybe you guys in flyover states aren't used to them other state ferriners. Him being an "out of state" guy is comical at best. Guy lived on the Wisconsin border.

Muriel Bowser's staff is trying to paint the unrest in DC as an outsider thing by saying 70% of the arrests so far are from non-DC residents. When I go to the Caps game, probably 15k of the 18k in the arena are non-DC residents. :dunce:

Northern Lake County, Illinois (where Antioch is) is more closely tied to Kenosha County, Wisconsin than it is to southern Lake County.

Yep. If BLM (the organization, not the idea) and antifa want Trump to win another term, they should stick to their current playbook.

Should we compare how big of a scumbag Rittenhouse was to the 3 people he shot? Or should we condemn all unnecessary violence regardless of who commits it?

Absolutely. And the "condemning both sides" was tried after Charlottesville and there was outrage because there was not a specific condemnation of the perpetrators of that violence...oddly enough Biden just issued a similar "condemning both sides" statement but the msm hasn't been as outraged for some reason. So here we are...

Its exactly why we're having all these protests and riots. :ohno:
Way to leave out the experience portion. Do you even know why the cops were called on Blake?
Irrelevant, they shot him in the back seven times.
