Former Towson State QB Kurt Beathard (Class of '87, Towson State HOF), a former assistant at Pacific (I think he was there when I was there in '95 when we lost the program and I transferred to Sac), abruptly resigned as OC at IL State, ending his third stint there in a beef with BLM.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Just figured it out. Beathard left the Towson State staff in MAR '95 to join UOP as secondary coach. That's why I wasn't exactly sure he was really there or not: he was on the other side of the ball....

Fun fact: He is former redskins GM Bobby Beathards son. Back in the day, he pushed hard for the Skins to draft Dave Meggett in '88.

Andy: Bobby Beathard is better known (at least out here in the West) for being the longtime GM of the San Diego Chargers....
