The Voting Poll about Voting

The 13th was the last day to register to vote in Oregon and my ballot was mailed to my new address on the 14th! Oregon also publishes voting guides with information on all of the candidates that submit it which can help with the local races and district races. I've filled out the ballot and just need to drop it off at an official box.

I like it. Organized and civilized. The advantage of having an established and tried and true method of doing it. Like I said, the states doing this with 2-3 months notice are going to have issues galore. PA is going to be a cluster.

Last election I knew ‘about’ 63 million votes Trump, about 65.85 million for Clinton. I didn’t know that about 5.7%/7.8 million voted for 3rd party and ‘other’. I wonder what 3rd party and other will be this year (I have no idea).

Polling shows that there are far fewer third-party voters this cycle. Also note that the Libertarian Candidate got 1.8% less than he was polling.

Just voted. In-person absentee, no lines. Applied, voted in a normal looking voting booth, sealed it. And dropped in the box. Even provided Elmer's glue strip to seal the envelopes.

I’ve always voted on Election Day, in person.

Early voting (in person) opens tomorrow in Texas....think I’ll take advantage of it this year so I can go sequester at the lake when the shit hits the fan after a Trump blowout. Let things calm down a bit...

Me too, but this time I dropped it off at the courthouse. I like being isolated on the farm other than the lack of playing music with friends.

Decided to vote in person when in the county seat as there wasn’t a line. 20% of registered voters have voted in person and another 10% by mail already here. Should be pretty vacant by Election Day.

I voted this morning and there was a line. Probably 30 minutes in line. Absolutely no line later in the day, could've walked up in the last 4-5 hours.

I went around 9:30 am on Tuesday. Line was about 20 deep when I arrived. Line had doubled by the time I left.
From parking to leaving, it took me 15 minutes.

Wife went to same location at 7:30 the day before and it took her an hour.

Dropped off my ballot on the way to work yesterday at one of the places set up for that by the county. Including driving out of my way, probably took about 5 minutes to sign in and put the ballot in the box.
