Oregon decriminalized all drugs below a certain possession amount.

Smart move.

In Montana:
Legalize marijuana passed
Revise conceal carry - take away local authority to have additional restrictions - yes leading but very close

Florida passed $15.00 an hour minimum wage despite solid Trump win.
Deep-blue California rejected affirmative action by 20 points.

This country is left-of-center economically and anti-woke, and the first party to figure it out will dominate politics. :geek:

I was alluding to that in the other thread when I brought up nationalism and patriotism. A Democrat who can wrap themselves in the flag or a Republican who can sell single-payer health care can almost start ordering stationary for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

If they can stay Republican long enough to not get primaried. There are Democrats that can wrap themselves in the flag without a problem or primary threat like Duckworth.

How does Duckworth fare with the Bernie Bros and AOCultists?

Nah, the Dems have the same problem on their side with the primaries now, and it's not going to get better either. Primaries are going to continue to be purity contests in the major parties.

I agree. But, I see Democrats being more likely to be primaried for being against something single payer. Not something like "wrapping themselves in the flag."

Oh no, I think that would screw them too. Maybe less than being against single payer, but if they haven't read Kendi yet and are still singing the National Anthem while wrapped in the flag they'll be primaried just as easily as anything else.

Yeah, it's crazy because there are folks in the Dem primaries for whom I could actually vote. Not joking.

Hey, I'm a centrist, I agree, people I'd vote for get primaried out all the time in favor of the rabid partisans. Sure is doing wonders on the national stage for us.

It’s not the ‘rabid partisans’ fault. Its the lazy masses fault who don’t bother to vote in primaries. The ‘rabid partisans’ aren’t preventing the lazy masses from voting in the primaries. Look at how low a percentage of the electorate votes in the non POTUS primaries.

 Kamala's experience as a prosecutor was used against her in the Dem primaries. They could just as easily hold Duckworth being a vet against her.

No. But the majority of registered conks and donks don’t participate in the non POTUS off year primaries.

It will now be easier for me to prepare my Big Sky power rankings.

Heck, I might even go back to participating in the AGS poll again.

That just goes to show that people are more intent on defeating the other side than actually doing anything FOR their side. True for both parties.
