What was summarized was from the actual report. What I don't know is the full context of the report. Was it cherry picked?
https://www.freep.com/story/news/politi ... 538325002/
The report is signed by Russell Ramsland of Allied Security Operations Group.

Ramsland, a cybersecurity analyst and former Republican congressional candidate, mistook voting jurisdictions in Minnesota for Michigan towns in one recent flawed analysis of voter turnout in the Nov. 3 election. In another, filed in support of a federal lawsuit filed in Michigan, he made wildly inaccurate claims about voter turnout in various Michigan municipalities claiming that Detroit, where turnout was 51%, had turnout of 139%, and that North Muskegon, which had turnout of 78%, had voter turnout of 782%

So they said, and then when put under oath, they could not confirm and had only submitted a draft report to the FBI. Not even a final. And that is all it took to say Russia hacked the DNC. This is why Jelly got clobbered.

They didn't provide any evidence.

That and they have DNC association all over them. Nobody else got to look at the server and then in the end they couldn't say Russia hacked...when under oath.

The flip side is that Seth Rich did it or someone else from the inside. Multiple people have come forward and talked about transfer rates and how it had to be an inside job. But those are Conk talking points, so who knows where the truth lies, but it wasn't with Crowdstrike.

I read a little about that. Exploiting Microsoft Office if I skimmed it correctly.
No. It created legit security certificates. An IT system management company was hacked. The trojan sends out legit software updates to the company's clients - like all branches of the US Military, Treasury, Commerce. About 300,000 organizations and governments use the company - SolarWinds. It's created a backdoor for the the hacker to have almost unfettered access.

By weaponizing the IT platform, the malware was legitimately distributed to anyone using SolarWinds and then laid dormant for a few weeks before beginning a series of jobs which provided the hacker access. Some are saying it's a basic, "god-Mode" where there hacker can go and do whatever, wherever, whenever.
You see "they" are now saying Dominion Voting Systems uses SolarWinds?

First off, this was the absolute first time anyone has been allowed to analyze the voting machines. It was allowed because the vote count for marijuana passage was incorrect. Trump hasn't been given access to the machines like this guy was.

Secondly, there has been NO forensic analysis of the ballots yet. How are you supposed to find fraudulent ballots if you can't even look at them? All ballot investigations so far have only checked that ballots received equals votes. Nobody has checked to make sure the signatures match, or if someone was dead, or if they voted more than once.

Finally. A signature audit has been ordered in Cobb county. Now we can finally talk about evidence, or lack thereof. Supposedly going to take two weeks.

Not totally sure, but believe it allows them to be chosen if they discover fraud. Almost like backups.

The report that supports the 2018 Executive Order on foreign interference in our elections is due. Might not be released to the public at that time, but the DNI is to have it completed
That would be good to see. I think a person would be naïve to believe foreign governments do not attempt to influence our elections. The question you really want answered is to what extent are they successful.

Meanwhile, FireEye is saying the Treasury and Commerce departments were hacked. It isn't specifically Russia however the Cyber Threat Intelligence report I received this morning at work says they suspect it to be state sponsored. The hack has been going on since the Spring! I'm not saying it's Russia, but in my experience them and the Chinese are pros when it comes to state-sponsored hacks. :twocents:
Well now we know why that cyber security guy was fired by Trump. Sounds like a pretty big hack.

Yeah- but that guy wasn't fired until AFTER he said the election was secure. He wasn't fired b/c of policy. Trump doesn't care about policy. He was fired b/c he didn't bend the knee. He was fired b/c he undermined Trump's lies of voter fraud.

The hack infiltrated thousands companies, government agencies and organizations and got in through the vendor. The Treasury and Commerce departments weren't specifically targeted and hacked.

Evan McMullan’s Op/Ed on the need to destroy Trumpism.

Or is Trumpism the Republican Party?
On Friday, the Supreme Court rejected a Texas lawsuit to overturn the election, a legal challenge that was as frivolous as it was anti-constitutional. Yet more than 60 percent of House Republicans signed a supporting brief, joining 18 Republican attorneys general who filed their own and embracing entirely the unreality of Trumpism by lending their names to undoing an election that put them in office.

These were not just fringe elements. The minority leader Kevin McCarthy and the whip Steve Scalise signed their names, as did the incoming ranking member for the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee, Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Some, such as Kevin Brady, Bill Flores and Ann Wagner, were Republicans who the NeverTrump movement once hoped would break with the president once we made him an electoral loser.

That they instead clung to his mad king strategy, like sailors lashed to the mast of a sinking ship, proves that the majority of the party has, at least for the foreseeable future, forsaken democracy. Even though Trump has been defeated, there is still no home for Republicans committed to representative government, truth and the rule of law, nor is one likely to emerge anytime soon.
