I'd have to search for the article, but two young lawyers got caught last year throwing Molotov cocktails, and caught on film, but the courts don't want to ruin their promising careers, so no jail time.

Two lawyers charged with hurling Molotov cocktails at an empty NYPD van during a Black Lives Matter protest in Brooklyn last summer are still trying to hammer out a plea deal with Brooklyn federal prosecutors, it was revealed in court Thursday.

During the virtual hearing, defense lawyers for Urooj Rahman and Colinford Mattis requested an additional 90 days to work out a disposition, which US District Judge Brian Cogan granted.

Brooklyn federal prosecutors had offered the pair a deal on Feb. 11 but did not publicly disclose the terms.
